I was just reading the adventure in Dragon 118, Box of Flumph. Looks like it will be fun one to run. Anyway, at the end of the adventure is a quote that begins
John writes, "Amoung my friends, my flumph reverance is no small secret..."
The adventure is atributed to Tim Hichcock, so who is John? I didn't see a John in the list of editors and officers and such.

Hi James,
I have every intention of running the Box of Flumph adventure. However, by the time the PCs reach Stillsquall, they will probably be 2nd or close to 3rd level. I would like to adapt it to those levels. Now the magazine usually recommends some adaptations in their Scaling the Adventure Sidebars. Now for the life of me, I can't seem to find it in issue #118. Am I missing something ?
Thanks :)

The Scaling the Adventure sidebar got dropped from the adventure accidentaly. Here's the text of the missing sidebar:
“Box of Flumph” is designed for four 1st-level characters, but can be modified for 2nd–3rd level parties by adding one or two class levels to the NPCs encountered in the adventure. Increase the DCs for the various skill checks required for success by an equal amount. When chaos breaks out on board The Angelina, you can have more of the sailors side with Dusky, forcing the PCs to fight more of the mutineers. Finally, add 2–4 more lacedons to the final encounter to make sure that the PCs end up tangling with more of the undead monsters.

Just to note, we've added this permanently to the Dungeon errata section of the website.
