I thought this article was great. I have tried to give my fences personality in the past, but I liked the variety presented in this article. This is going to find its way into my game immediately.
Oddly, I don't recall ever seeing this useage of the word fence until the article.
According to dictionary.com:
fence
3.
a.One who receives and sells stolen goods.
b.A place where stolen goods are received and sold.
Reminds me of all the words I learned as a kid from playing D&D -- from dexterity, constitution, and charisma, to melee and missile, to... well the list goes on and on.

Oddly, I don't recall ever seeing this useage of the word fence until the article.
It crops up in movies from time to time, e.g. Ocean's 11:
Rusty: "Don't let him fool you, there’s boatloads, if you can move 'em"Danny: "My fence seemed confidant enough"
Rusty: "Dealing in cash you don't need a fence"
etc.

The article was as timely as a crit in the heat of the last battle!!
I started my city thieves game last night, one that has been in the wings of my homebrew for a while now. The timing of the article was and is priceless. Articles like this short and sweet and give great depth are awesome.
Keep up the great work!!!
