![]() Hi there, we are a Pathfinder group that is playing the Temple of Elemental Evil using Fantasy Grounds. We are looking for more players. We play Mondays at 8:30 pm GMT +8. Here is a link to our post on Fantasy Grounds https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?40468-GMT-8-Group-look ing-for-player&p=357806#post357806 ![]()
![]() That's fine if he is busy, he could have mentioned it. I filed a complaint with paypal and they will refund my money if it isn't sent to me within the next 10 days. Either I will receive the screen or I will order a second Savage Worlds Customized Screen. It is disappointing though, as I live in Hong Kong and an extra 10 day wait to maybe receive a screen on top of the 10 days I have already waited is rather bothersome. This is not a good way to get repeat customers and I can assure you that neither myself nor my gaming group will be dealing with Hammerdog games again anytime soon. ![]()

[Note all of these were downloaded from RPGnow.com except the DM screen and Master Index which I purchased from Paizo to see if the quality was better] DM Screen and Master Index - The pages of the Index are a bit too fuzzy; The Screen Panels suffer from being cut off on the edge where everything can't be read clearly, here are the specifics: The Piercing Critical Table has the word severity cut off, and all that can be read is verity. The panel that has the adjusted saving throws for caster level and the Critical Event Table is cut off on the left side as well, probably a quarter inch from the original product as you can't make out the class names on the alt save table and the numbers from the critical event table; The Battle Tactics table is cut off on the left side and you can't read the words that tell you what the tactic is called; The rest of the panels are very light and difficult to read. Spelljammer Adventures in space boxed set: Both books look as if they sprayed with a light layer of grey paint before being scanned, yet somehow you can see the words on the next page fading through. Several of the ship cut outs and the planet icons do not match up with the lines and cause the entire page to look sideways. What happened was someone had used the cut out and then tried to put it back in place, but they didn't try very hard. The Alternity Players and GM's book are horrible scans. The first or second page of every chapter is a dark black and the words are supposed to be a light green to a blue, but in the scan they are completely unreadable. I printed them off after I bought them, so I could save the originals from being damaged by careless players and it was just a waste, as the first page of each chapter was nearly illegible and most of the tables were as well. The Combat & Tactics, Spells &Magics and the Skills & Powers books are fuzzy and grey, similar to the Spelljammer Adventures in space book but not as bad. The Complete Priest Spell books and the Wizard Spell books are not aligned properly and several pages from each book (say around 12 or so) are poorly scanned and you can see the words on the next page coming through. Labyrinth of Madness is fuzzy and difficult to read. Glantri, Karamiekos, Amber and the Night of the Vampire Boxed sets do not have a the audio cd that should have come with them. This is terrible as the cd can be 'illegally' downloaded AND the quality of the scans is quite fuzzy. The Night Below boxed set is seriously a poor scan. The maps, particulary those of the Glass City and the surrounding area are not scanned to line up and are severly out of sequence. The Battle Maps (all three of them) are not scanned to the same size and are spread out through the maps section. Queen of the Spiders is far to difficult to read and should be scanned better. The pages look like they were sprayed with grey paint and the words bleed through on each page. This was a real disappointment for me as my copy is in real bad shape. I just recently paid $130 dollars to purchase one in 'good' condition from Amazon. Demihuman Deities is a very poor scan and is nearly impossible to read. The Revised Ravenloft Campaign Setting Box has a dark tint to all of the pages and the Tarroka Cards are not lined up properly, so that if you print them you end up with cards that are oddly shaped. The Arms & Equipment Guide is missing a page and has two pages that are out of sequence. The Cardmaster Advenutre Deck has the grey spray paint look going for but the cards themselves are not bad. The World Builder's Guidebook and the Dungeon Builder's Guidebook both have the grey spray paint look and the words bleed through the pages. Like I said I have downloaded nearly every AD&D Product from SV games or RPGnow.com and most of them are not very good. There are a few exceptions, as most of the Realms products are fair (The Aurora's book is excellent)and the Complete Handbook series is acceptable. If I knew that you guys were going to fix them I would gladly download them from you guys and spend the money again, as the cost doesn't really both me. On a related note I have a suggestion. You guys should try to get the rights to the old Mayfair stuff, Judges Guild stuff and the original Kalamar setting (the grey books), as well as some Earthdawn and Rolemaster Stuff. The Role Aids books from Mayfair are 'classic', although some of them are classically bad. Their rework of the Invincible Overlord isn't in line with the Judges Guild version but, if taken by itself, is wonderful, especially the players map and the adventure boxed sets. Finally, when are you guys going to get the Mythus Bestiary and the Mythus Aerth book? I will comment more on the books that I have downloaded from RPGnow.com later. I hope this helps. ![]()
![]() I was wondering if there are any plans on improving some of the original pdf's that svgames and rpgnow.com had. In particular the 2e DM screen and Master Index and the correct page order for the 2e Arms & Equipment Guide. I have purchased nearly all of the RPGnow PDF's for 2e and 1e and am not overly pleased with their quality, but if I knew that the quality would be better (even slightly) I would most likely purchase them all again. |
