Hi , thanks for reply and heres mine for yours 1- Martial weapon profiency states one type while Ancestral Arms says one weapon. What ı understand from that when i take MWP (swords) i can use long, two handed, bastard etc. Which i cant gain from AA. I can be still wrong ofcourse but its what i understand from chosen words ( type vs one). 2- My rule question still not answered offically.Rule isnt clear enough as you can see David knott 242(and probably others) can still think like me while you or others dont ...
Upss my bad. But still it gives one type against one weapon. If i want an exotic weapon i totally choose that ability but in my case again its useless. Also I started this thread in society rules question because i want an offical answer. In my country my society dms and ı argueing about this ruling. so if somebody can move it back there i ll be very happy. Thanx
Someone said wrote: The ability only mentions substituting intelligence for dexterity and says nothing about conferring proficiency, so why would you think that you do attack with proficiency? Im totally agreeing with you. Also ı know that ability. But for me its useless. It only allows one weapon exotic or not. If ı m going to give up a feat already. I just take martial weapon profiency and use all sword, axe etc. types
Hi guys, I have question about this wizard ability.Rule book states : Someone said wrote: "Hand of the Apprentice (Su): You cause your melee weapon to fly from your grasp and strike a foe before instantly returning to you. As a standard action, you can make a single attack using a melee weapon at a range of 30 feet. This attack is treated as a ranged attack with a thrown weapon, except that you add your Intelligence modifier on the attack roll instead of your Dexterity modifier (damage still relies on Strength). This ability cannot be used to perform a combat maneuver. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Intelligence modifier. " My half elf wizard wants to use this ability with his longsword which he not proficient. Is he going to take -4 for this. Rule only says your melee weapon and not require proficiency. From my understanding any melee weapon in my hand is my melee weapon and its su. My melee weapon fly from my hand and magically strike to target. whats the offical statment about it? thanx
Thanks for your opions but i really like my 1 lv wizard/3witch =))He ll progress as a witch( I really love the class and in my opinion you are right with furthering multiclass) so i only lost 1 lvl and gain 3 addition oth lvl spells and 2 1st lvl. I also can use hand of apprentice which in low levels make huge difference if you ask me. Story wise my very intelligent but tired of studing for little power because of his archmage fathers unattainable expectations ( by the way fascinated by magic ) had an offer one night from higher being that he cant refuse.Magic in this way comes so natural for him and additional powers like using hex or healing people makes him so happy XD Someone said wrote: You can't use your wizard's bonded item as you'r witche's item. Someone said wrote: Why not? I couldn't find any rule that disallows it. Im agreeing with VRMH because after long search i couldnt find any rule that dissallows it either. Thanks again for all your help =)) |
