For what it's worth, the PRD section on Prestige Classes has this under its definitions:

"Caster Level: Generally equal to the number of class levels (see below) in a spellcasting class. Some prestige classes add caster levels to an existing class."

You could reasonably interpret that as saying ONE existing class you have, and as a definition, it's a general rule that must be specifically and clearly overruled in order to get spells in multiple classes at once.

Ah gotcha thanks! I'm still new to the game and haven't memorized or figured everything out yet :P I appreciate it!

Go down to the casting area of the description not just the table.

and it'll specify 'chose one casting class' or at least last time i read it.

So it'll only work for one class. At least previous classes that just say "arcane spell casting" had the listing of chose a class.

I'd be pretty surprised if they broke the normal flow of how prestige classes work anyway.

Yeah it doesn't funny enough

Unless maybe I am missing it. I thought maybe Technomancer was an exception to the rule :P

In general, if you're getting bonus casting from a Prestige Class, it should only apply to one of your casting classes. Getting two classes worth of spells would be a bit too broken. XD

(Exception: Mystic Theurge. But that's specifically about combining two casting classes, and shouldn't be an example for getting two spells in two classes as a Technomancer.)

Yeah I wasn't sure because the wording was different from other prestige classes. I see most have something saying "choose one class etc". I thought maybe it would allow it because you lose one spell caster level from going Technomancer.

Maybe it's was written wonky?

So I am still new to DnD and pathfinder but I was planning out my character for the next AP my group is doing. We decided upon "Iron Gods" so naturally I want to make a Technomancer. So looking around I found the "Spell Slinger" Wizard archetype. Well after reading some info about it. I decided that I will be dipping 1 level into Crossblooded Sorceror, with Djinni and Draconic line for the awesome electric damage.

The thing is Technomancer at level 2 and beyond says "+1 level of arcane spell casting" does this apply to The Sorcerer AND Wizard levels, just the Wizard, just the Sorcerer? Me and my buddy aren't sure and I am not finding the info I need.

I ask because some others say "+1 level of existing arcane spell casting" but technomancer doesn't say existing. I am just a little unsure and I couldn't find answers with my same situation.

I might just not be understanding the way prestige classes work etc.
