I commented about the Ecclesitheurge with daily variable secondary domain spell lists and Scribe Scroll in another thread, but I am now scratching my head more about it. Using search-fu I found some other posts about Clerics making and using spells granted by domains:

http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2mzdz?Scrolls-and-Domains#14
http://paizo.com/threads/rzs2meka?Cleric-domain-spells-scrolls-and-wands

The indication seems to be that despite some semantic wording over whether or not Domain spells are part of your class list for the purposes of the three conditions of activating scrolls, a Cleric with the appropriate Domain is supposed to be able to both create and use divine scrolls of that Domain. Granted there does seem to be dissenting opinions on this in general.

Ecclesitheurge seems to muddy that water even more though. Because the secondary domain spell list is variable from day to day.

So does their ability to create and use spells from this variable list also vary? (i.e. the domain spells are only part of your list when you choose to have access to them and not part of your list when you choose not to) Or can the Ecclesitheurge just scribe/use a scroll of any domain spell his deity offers... whenever? (i.e. if you have access to the Domain at anytime, for the purpose of things that require you to have one of its spells as part of your list, its there, even if inactive) Can he never scribe or use scrolls (UMD aside) from his secondary domain? (i.e. If the domain spell is not permanently added to your list at all times, its not considered part of your list at all)

Take hypothetical Sir Cleric von Clericpants is devoted God MacGod of the Clan MacGod, who has domains of Fire, Void, and Darkness.

If Sir Clericpants has Darkness as his primary domain and Fire as his secondary domain on Day 1, can he:
a) Scribe a scroll of Burning Hands? [from Fire, whose list he has today]
b) Use a scroll of Burning Hands? [from Fire, whose list he has today]
c) Scribe a scroll of Silent Image? [from Void, whose list he doesn't have today but could]
d1) Use a scroll of Silent Image? [from Void, whose list he doesn't have today but could]
d2) Does it matter if he himself scribed the scroll on Day 0 when he was using the Void domain spell list as his secondary spell list (provided that the answer to "a" indicates that he's even capable of doing so)?

"Emulate a Class Feature: Sometimes you need to use a class feature to activate a magic item. In this case, your effective level in the emulated class equals your Use Magic Device check result minus 20. This skill does not let you actually use the class feature of another class. It just lets you activate items as if you had that class feature. If the class whose feature you are emulating has an alignment requirement, you must meet it, either honestly or by emulating an appropriate alignment with a separate Use Magic Device check (see above)."

Okay, I assume that if an Oracle invested enough skill points into Use Magic Device, this would typically circumvent the only-if-you-have-the-appropriate-mystery restriction on Rings of Revelation and Soothsayer's Rainments, correct?

For example, if your a Time Oracle and you have a Ring of Revelations (Nature's Whispers), if you make a Use Magic Device check of 21, you have access to that Revelation (as an ongoing effect, you'd have to make another check 1 hour later).

If this is true, does this mean that with appropriate Use Magic Device ranks an Oracle X/Arcane Savant 1 (a.k.a. Pathfinder Savant) can effectively/safely use Rings of Revelation and a Soothsayer's Rainment which impunity to cherry-pick/mix-and-match whichever Revelations they want regardless of Mystery?

Are there actual rules in place for determining the order of operations in which someone receives bonuses?

Lets say you have a Level 13 Bard (Dervish Dancer) with Flagbearer, Skill Focus (Oratory), Eldritch Heritage (Imperious), Improved Eldritch Heritage (Imperious - Heroic Echos), the Banner of Ancient Kings wondrous item (modeled into your flag and attached to a longspear wielded two-handed), and the Moment of Greatness spell. Not counting the banner's own bonuses, that gives us:

1) Inspire Courage (as level 17 bard due to banner): +4 morale bonus vs. fear and charm, +4 competence attack and weapon damage.
- Heroic Echos adds +1 to these bonuses
- Dervish Dancer doubles these bonuses
- Moment of Greatness doubles one morale bonus for one roll

Is your static bonus +9 (doubling and then adding one to the bonus) or +10 (adding one and then doubling the bonus)?

Does Moment of Greatness turn either the attack roll or damage bonus into +13 (tripling base and then adding one), +15 (adding one to the base and then tripling it), or +20 (adding one to the base, then doubling it, and then doubling it again)?

2) Flagbearer: +1 morale bonus vs. fear and charm, +1 morale bonus to attack and damage
- Heroic Echoes adds +1 to these bonuses
- Banner of Ancient Kings doubles these bonuses
- Moment of Greatness doubles one morale bonus for one roll

Is your static bonus +3 (doubling and then adding one to the bonus) or +4 (adding one and then doubling the bonus)?

Does Moment of Greatness turn either the attack roll or damage bonus into +4 (tripling base and then adding one), +6 (adding one to the base and then tripling it), or +8 (adding one to the base, then doubling it, and then doubling it again)?

------------------------

Heroic Echo (Su): At 3rd level, when you receive a morale bonus from any spell, spell-like ability, or magic item, including those you cast on yourself, that bonus increases by +1. At 9th level, this ability also applies to competence bonuses. If you receive a morale effect (or a competence effect at 9th level) that affects an area or multiple targets, as an immediate action you can share your increased bonus with all other recipients. This increase to other participants lasts a number of rounds equal to your Charisma bonus. You can use this ability once per day, plus one time per three levels after 3rd.

------------------------

I'm confused as to the first and last lines of this Sorcerer's bloodline power.

The first line seems to imply there is no choice in the matter, that the effect of the power is automatic. So if someone or something gives you a morale bonus (or later a competence bonus), its always triggered?

The last line seems ambiguous as to whether it means that ability to share the increased bonus is useable once per day or whether the whole bloodline power is useable once per day (and then more times later on). The power does say "this ability" with no real indication of difference between the personal part and the sharing part.

Taken together if the last line applies to the whole power and the power isn't optional, that would seem to very problematic in some parties. I mean, if your 4th level sorcerer happens to walk within 10 feet of the party 4th level paladin, did the paladin's aura of courage just exhaust your bloodline power use?

Am I reading this correctly, and if so, was this the intent of the power?

Hello, longtime reader, first time poster.

I was making a character for a 4th level game coming up and I wanted to make a druid archer. That proved problematic due to feat hunger, so I looked into multi-class with Monk (Zen Archer) which seems to have most of the archery feats pretty well front-loaded.

----------------------

Race: Human (Focused Study alternate trait)
Class: Monk (Zen Archer) 2/Druid (Menhir Savant) 1/Monk (Zen Archer) 1
Base Stats (25 point): Str 12, Dex 13, Con 14, Int 12, Wis 17, Cha 10
Character Traits: Magic Knack (Druid), Reactionary
Alignment: Lawful Neutral

Feats:
1st Human (Focused Study) - Skill Focus (Perception)
1st Character - Deadly Aim
1st Monk (Zen Archer) 1 - Point Blank Shot
1st Monk (Zen Archer) 1 - Perfect Strike (any bow)
2nd Monk (Zen Archer) 2 - Precise Shot
2nd Monk (Zen Archer) 2 - Weapon Focus (Composite Longbow)
3rd Character - Boon Companion
4th Monk (Zen Archer) 3 - Point Blank Master

so...

orison/1st level druid spells, CL3
detect a bunch of different things at will (love that ability)
4th level animal companion (roc maybe?)
+7/+7 (1d8+5) archery within 30 ft. / +6/+6 (1d8+4) outside (assuming +1 bow)
+3 (1d6+1) unarmed strike (at least it still threatens, I guess)
40 foot landspeed
Can use Cure wands

-----------------------

Does this seem passable for 4th level (given the 25 points creation suggests challenging encounters)? Any suggestions, spotted errors or sagely warnings?
