Quick question about an issue that came up in last night's Council of Thieves session.

Can a character, specifically a monk, use the Power Attack feat to increase the damage delivered by grapple?

Subject pretty much nails it.

Does a first level character gain the bonus +1 hit point and skill point right off the bat, or is it gained at all levels after the first level in the favored class?

Just bought the new Pathfinder Hardcover a week or two ago from my local hobby store (Great book BTW!). My only issue is that the first several pages of the book are slowly becoming lose and are detaching from the binding. The pages don't appear to have been glued correctly when the book was assembled. In fact, some of the pages were stuck together which became slightly damaged when attempting to pry them apart.

Is this something I should address with my hobby retailer or with Paizo (Or, am I just SOL)?

We've been using the new channel energy rules and have found the healing to be great, but the actual effect it has on undead to be somewhat lacking. The damage it deals is near negligible when used against undead with turn resistance. We're finding that saving for half damage with a bonus to the Will save and gaining positive energy resistance equal to 5 per two points of TR is overkill.

What I would suggest is keeping the bonus to the Will save but removing positive energy resistance. The ER could instead be replaced with a reduction to the duration of Frighten condition equal 1 round per two points of TR the undead possesses (minimum of 1 round).

Example, a cleric burns a channel energy attempt and turns a Shadow who fails its Will save. The roll for the Frightened condition's duration ends up being for 5 rounds. A Shadow having a turn resistance of +2 would instead only flee for 4 rounds.

I feel that this would give channel energy a needed boost in its usefulness against undead without being to over the top.

Thoughts?

Note: Originally posted his in Alpha 2 section but since nothing changed regarding Channel Energy in the 3 release it was still pertinent.

This may be a dumb question, but can you heal through this feat?

Say if a cleric channeled a turn through a missile weapon and shot a creature he perceived as undead but wasn't. Would the creature instead be healed those hit points it would have otherwise taken as positive energy damage?

Greetings all.

Looking for some constructive suggestions from others who are also running this adventure. I've been running EtCR for over a year now (roughly 25+ sessions) and after many character deaths we're nearing the adventure's conclusion.

I'm curious as to how DMs dealt with Strahd's reaction to the PCs severing his connection to the land via the wilderness fanes. The adventure doesn't really address how Strahd would react to the characters once they start re-consecrating the shrines to the three Barovian saints. Did anyone have the Count try to prevent the PCs from achieving this goal and if so, how did they handle it and to what extent.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

These feats appear to be underpowered IMO. I understand not allowing the feat to cause outsiders or elementals to become Frightened or commanded as with undead, but just taking straight up damage isn't enough.

How about along with taking full damage on a failed save the undead or elemental were also treated a shaken for 1d4 rds + Chr modifier?
