Soven steps along with the group. After Iacobus mentions his distrust of resting Soven goes back on guard. Following the advice of the masked man and the divine woman, Soven leaves the the awfully refreshing looking fountain alone. Pulling out a large waterskin full of cool water with small berries in for taste, Soven offers the party a cool refreshment.

erp.... thought I had posted....hmmmmmmm. Soven picks himself up off the floor and dusts himself off. He is unsure as to exactly what just happened and even less sure of what will come next. Sorry, I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean wizard is correct, both of the corridors must be used at the same time? Split the party. Or

If the swords are still not moving, Soven will go forward at full speed, afraid that stepping back out will activate both while komana is still in there.

When Soven is up, he moves over to the remaining skeleton careful not to cut off anyones attack. He will swipe again with the sword.
Soven looks concerned at the wounds inflicted on the bard. He is used to being the one bleeding.
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
Soven eyes narrow in intense anger as he sees Iacobus wounded by the evil walking upright before them.
Iacobus, are you all right?! On his turn, Soven swings again. +flank2 & heroism2/-pwr atk1 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 181d8 + 10 - 5 ⇒ (8) + 10 - 5 = 13

Soven can move full speed in med armor.

Soven shrugs and smiles. After regaining a look of determination, Soven steps over the metal plate, giving it a wide clearance.
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
As soon as Soven stops, he holds out his hand and sword in a gesture clearly meaning stop at once.
There is metal plate of some sort on the floor, it is has been covered with black paint.

Soven procures the meaning of Iacobus's statement but finds himself reluctant to follow. His very soul burns with valor and eager anticipation of what is to come. Discipline sets in though and Soven heels in the heart-pounding magic that flows through him.
Perception: Spoiler:

Soven nods at what he presumes to be Komana's guidance for him to take the front. Drawing his sword, Soven steps forward, with the ioun stone in place. Feeling a surge of excitement, and the fiery magic flowing through his blood, Soven looks directly at the masked man. Lead on.

That is fine regarding the research bonus. With the killing of a party member in the same room so recently, by something mysterious and dangerous he has gathered so far to boot, I just didn't see Soven studying as much as guarding those who did. Kind of seeing it as his duty, and as they are becoming his friends, a personal duty as well. Soven feels the fiery warmth of magic coarse through his veins. It takes all of his discipline and fortitude not to shout out and run forward to whatever lie ahead. Thank you, Iacobus, I am not sure what magic you have bestowed upon me, but I have a feeling it will be put to use most effectively. Soven's impeccable posture seems to have improved if that were possible and his eyes almost glow with anticipation. Right you are Komana. Let us activate them with a quickness and face whatever they dare send our way to vanquish.
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
Soven stands guard in the room while his friends study vigorously, pacing back and forth sweeping his sword in gentle arcs. When the orb enters the room, Soven places the sword back in the sheath.
May Calistria judge me not too harshly for spending my last moments on this world in a library, Would that Desna's path be magnificent and beautiful after this life as it was in this, And pray my sword, dearest friend, find the end of Kaelor and Dakgu and gift upon it unadulterated violence most fierce , unprecedented agony most horrific and searing, and unimaginable terror that cannot be described, defined, conveyed, or spoken.

Sovens eyes widen at Komana's mention of the item he had temporarily forgotten, only to wince at the snap of the wizards fingers and his statement. By the gods I had forgotten, thank you Komana, here it is.
Soven nods to the wizard, Zareth, in appreciation for his expertise.
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
Soven nods at Iacobus's request and reads the script out loud to the others.
As he approaches the end, his hands begin to tremble and he stops as he looks up. This is the last words, written ones at least, of our fair friend Kaelor
But the reward for moving correctly was to, amusingly, move correctly. So it is possible, indeed probable, that each challenge is intended to lead to its award and then to the next challenge by following one particular theme. In other words, the award from one challenge should provide some insight into the nature of the next. I

As Iacobus flips through the elven book, Soven catches small glimpses and reads them out loud quietly. His Elven does not flow as elegantly as an actual elves but it is smooth and well practiced.
Answering Komana's inquiry, Soven replies Absolutely Komana, what though would you have us look for? I must admit this legacy finds me confused and almost without a clue.
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
Decapitated? By the path and iniquity made righteous, was there not at least a struggle? Did someone not hear? Dakgu was no fool or fop, he could handle himself, as we all could see. Soven is visibly shaking and not of fear. Closing his eyes and clenching his hands around the book, Soven regains his composure. I am truly sorry for their loss, and for your bearing the weight of silence Komana. You have borne it well. Now I must excuse myself, I need to prepare for battle. I will make us something to eat as well. I no longer trust anything. not here.
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
Soven waves back to Komana and smiles expectantly. At long last, perhaps the waiting is over and the mystery task revealed.
Welcome back, Komana. Is everything alright? Is our tasking that bad, or just that disappointing? Ah, is this the final members of the other party, A gentleman of Cheliax and his servant?
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
Well, no matter what they have in store for us, my new friends, may our paths cross many times and our swords never once at all.
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
Soven leans towards her in return and in a low voice says:
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
"Well, I cannot speak for my new friend, Iacobus, but I hail from the empire of Taldor. Although saying that, I have spent most of my life traveling and residing in other places. You seem to have already learned of Komana's home.
Soven returns Komana's quick glance with a raised eyebrow before forcefully clouding his facial expression.
Soven registers Iacobus's response to the inquiry of the mask. "Very smooth and collected, this one is." Soven thinks to himself.
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
"A pleasure in all ways as always." Soven says with a smile.
Interesting these people are for sure, Soven thinks to himself. Finding himself of the opinion that his party is certainly the best, Soven smiles and returns to eating.
m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3
Soven quickly drops the pathfinder into his pocket, somehow able to supress his curiosity.
