m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven smiles at the scene before him and drinks a few handfuls of water from the fountain.
Feeling very invigorated from the magic and cool water, Soven stands ready
and looks expectantly at the bossy woman next to him. ;)

1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven steps along with the group. After Iacobus mentions his distrust of resting Soven goes back on guard. Following the advice of the masked man and the divine woman, Soven leaves the the awfully refreshing looking fountain alone.

Pulling out a large waterskin full of cool water with small berries in for taste, Soven offers the party a cool refreshment.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

"The only thing I have that could hold it for even a moment is a trident." Could we possibly jam that into remaining open?

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Int check 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

erp.... thought I had posted....hmmmmmmm.

Soven picks himself up off the floor and dusts himself off. He is unsure as to exactly what just happened and even less sure of what will come next.

Sorry, I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean wizard is correct, both of the corridors must be used at the same time? Split the party. Or
do you mean wizard is correct, we can all go through the axes? What set off the axes on Komana? My going in or komana going out?

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

so........ writing up a new character?

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven turns around and dashes full speed for the door he entered, diving if necessary to make it out.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

If the swords are still not moving, Soven will go forward at full speed, afraid that stepping back out will activate both while komana is still in there.
If they start moving again while the doors are closing, soven will try to scream a warning to komana in the other room that time is up while he tries to get out.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

'Desna be generous with your luck'
Soven steps in the other as Komana steps into hers.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven nods nervously at Zareth's request.
Soven will step into the other room as Komana steps into the other.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

i concur. :)

Soven opens the door weapon at the ready

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven slowly moves his hand towards to the door. His glance torward Komana and the rest of the party indicates he would like approval from them before completing the action. Especially with regards to the last door.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven stares at the horrific scene before them with a sense of deep regret.

I got nothing.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven looks at Zareth, Dird, and then Komana, upon which he opens the door. or tries to if its locked.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven nods to the group and proceeds into the darkness. He is most obviously pleased with the group's recent victory.
BTW, is their a way to make sure that the remains the skeletons were writhing in were not human, i.e. our new friends?

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven will go whichever way the bossy redhead tells him to. :)

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

and mario wins music :)

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

When Soven is up, he moves over to the remaining skeleton careful not to cut off anyones attack. He will swipe again with the sword.
(pwr atk,heroism,)1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 181d8 + 10 - 5 ⇒ (4) + 10 - 5 = 9

Soven looks concerned at the wounds inflicted on the bard. He is used to being the one bleeding.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven eyes narrow in intense anger as he sees Iacobus wounded by the evil walking upright before them.
Smacking the return blow away, Soven focuses on the one before him.

Iacobus, are you all right?!

On his turn, Soven swings again. +flank2 & heroism2/-pwr atk1 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 181d8 + 10 - 5 ⇒ (8) + 10 - 5 = 13

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

sorry for getting in your way, dird

Soven's eyes widen as the skeleton glances his sword off with its own.
With a stone face of determination, Soven tries again.

pwr atk & heroism1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 141d8 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

edit: when the skeleton decides to teach Soven how to properly swing a sword, Soven's AC is 20.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven nods to Komana.

On his action, Soven will charge the nearest skeleton and power attack with the longsword, unless someone indicates for him to hold.

Soven can move full speed in med armor.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

What did you hear, Komana? Shall we stay or move forward?

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven nods and turns to go.
As he proceeds forward, he looks at the halfling and smiles.
shall we take the front together?

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven watches down the hall while the others investigate the stone face.
Upon hearing the stone grinding from behind them and down the hall, Soven stands ready.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven shrugs and smiles. After regaining a look of determination, Soven steps over the metal plate, giving it a wide clearance.
Upon stepping over and moving forward a bit, he looks back to make sure the rest do so without problem.
Upon that occurring, Soven moves forward at a moderate pace, sword still at the ready.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

As soon as Soven stops, he holds out his hand and sword in a gesture clearly meaning stop at once.
Squinting at something on the floor before him, Soven looks back and informs the others:

There is metal plate of some sort on the floor, it is has been covered with black paint.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven procures the meaning of Iacobus's statement but finds himself reluctant to follow. His very soul burns with valor and eager anticipation of what is to come. Discipline sets in though and Soven heels in the heart-pounding magic that flows through him.
"This is better than Chelish devil wine and Shaonti Fire Whiskey!" Soven thinks to himself.

Perception:

Spoiler:
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

edit: sorry add two to that from heroism. thanks Iacobus :)

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

sorry about the wait

Soven nods to Komana and moves down the corridor with his sword at the ready.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven nods at what he presumes to be Komana's guidance for him to take the front. Drawing his sword, Soven steps forward, with the ioun stone in place.

Feeling a surge of excitement, and the fiery magic flowing through his blood, Soven looks directly at the masked man.

Lead on.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

That is fine regarding the research bonus. With the killing of a party member in the same room so recently, by something mysterious and dangerous he has gathered so far to boot, I just didn't see Soven studying as much as guarding those who did. Kind of seeing it as his duty, and as they are becoming his friends, a personal duty as well.

Soven feels the fiery warmth of magic coarse through his veins. It takes all of his discipline and fortitude not to shout out and run forward to whatever lie ahead.

Thank you, Iacobus, I am not sure what magic you have bestowed upon me, but I have a feeling it will be put to use most effectively.

Soven's impeccable posture seems to have improved if that were possible and his eyes almost glow with anticipation.

Right you are Komana. Let us activate them with a quickness and face whatever they dare send our way to vanquish.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven stands guard in the room while his friends study vigorously, pacing back and forth sweeping his sword in gentle arcs.

When the orb enters the room, Soven places the sword back in the sheath.
Nodding at Komana's words, Soven sweeps the library with his eyes once more before following the orb.

May Calistria judge me not too harshly for spending my last moments on this world in a library, Would that Desna's path be magnificent and beautiful after this life as it was in this, And pray my sword, dearest friend, find the end of Kaelor and Dakgu and gift upon it unadulterated violence most fierce , unprecedented agony most horrific and searing, and unimaginable terror that cannot be described, defined, conveyed, or spoken.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Sovens eyes widen at Komana's mention of the item he had temporarily forgotten, only to wince at the snap of the wizards fingers and his statement.

By the gods I had forgotten, thank you Komana, here it is.
Soven hands the item over to Komana upon retrieving it from his cloak, it takes a second longer as the cloak is under the breastplate armor.

Soven nods to the wizard, Zareth, in appreciation for his expertise.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven nods at Iacobus's request and reads the script out loud to the others.
I find it hard to believe that Sin Magics were used so often in our ancient history, but I suppose given our Elvish curious nature and the proximity of other magical systems, we would have learned it. The text offers little that I had not already known, so I doubt that I shall take many notes from it, as I was intending. Instead, I suppose I shall ruminate on the possibilities of the challenges that lie ahead of us. It has come to my attention that many of the challenges placed before the Pathfinder core begin easily enough, such as the challenge of initiative we faced earlier today. Boring as usual, though an easy challenge to remove the particularly inept.

As he approaches the end, his hands begin to tremble and he stops as he looks up. This is the last words, written ones at least, of our fair friend Kaelor
Looking back down at the script he finishes reading it.

But the reward for moving correctly was to, amusingly, move correctly. So it is possible, indeed probable, that each challenge is intended to lead to its award and then to the next challenge by following one particular theme. In other words, the award from one challenge should provide some insight into the nature of the next. I
Soven stops and looks up indicating that is the last of it.
Komana, did they mention where he died. Here for instance

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

As Iacobus flips through the elven book, Soven catches small glimpses and reads them out loud quietly. His Elven does not flow as elegantly as an actual elves but it is smooth and well practiced.
Soven continues to look around the room on guard, the talk of something possibly entering and exiting with magic- and recently to boot, raises an alarm for Soven.

Answering Komana's inquiry, Soven replies Absolutely Komana, what though would you have us look for? I must admit this legacy finds me confused and almost without a clue.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Perception 1d20 + 6 : 5 + 6= 11

Yes, this is most definitely a library, and a nice one.

Soven is in armor and fully armed.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Decapitated? By the path and iniquity made righteous, was there not at least a struggle? Did someone not hear? Dakgu was no fool or fop, he could handle himself, as we all could see.

Soven is visibly shaking and not of fear. Closing his eyes and clenching his hands around the book, Soven regains his composure.

I am truly sorry for their loss, and for your bearing the weight of silence Komana. You have borne it well. Now I must excuse myself, I need to prepare for battle. I will make us something to eat as well. I no longer trust anything. not here.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

I am having fun. I used the fighter college option from the pathfinder guide to help my fighter serve the party out of combat.
I am cool with any direction you choose to take and the pace as well.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven waves back to Komana and smiles expectantly. At long last, perhaps the waiting is over and the mystery task revealed.
As Komana approaches the table, Soven rises from his seat and nods to Komana.

Welcome back, Komana. Is everything alright? Is our tasking that bad, or just that disappointing? Ah, is this the final members of the other party, A gentleman of Cheliax and his servant?

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Well, no matter what they have in store for us, my new friends, may our paths cross many times and our swords never once at all.
Dareth and Delen, two new friends, in as many days here. You should have met the rest of our group. I dare say I know not where they are though.
Probably found somewhere else to shine, hopefully not with that group from Cheliax.
Now where is Komana?......

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

You maybe right, sweet Delenn. Perhaps it is a little serious for the morning. How about the Society Pathfinder Extraordinaire is in need of capital and we are to pirate the inner seas for gold and glory.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven smiles in answer to the two woman's worries, planning to join in with the Iacobus's fun.

"We will all be lucky to live through the night I am sure. Oh, no worries, my dearest new friends, I hear deaths are routine here. They are served with breakfast.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven leans towards her in return and in a low voice says:
"By all that is divine and beautiful in this world, I cannot but even to deign to guess, my lady. My interest is captured completely though, captured and hostage.
It is times like this, I wish that I had spent my life learning the path of magical divination or such.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

"Well, I cannot speak for my new friend, Iacobus, but I hail from the empire of Taldor. Although saying that, I have spent most of my life traveling and residing in other places. You seem to have already learned of Komana's home.
It is always pleasant to see another who appreciates Desna and the path she has for those who would travel it."

Soven returns Komana's quick glance with a raised eyebrow before forcefully clouding his facial expression.
He is quite curious as to the events unfolding, one that seems to have the Pathfinders in a panic.

Soven registers Iacobus's response to the inquiry of the mask. "Very smooth and collected, this one is." Soven thinks to himself.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

"A pleasure in all ways as always." Soven says with a smile.
Continuing to eat his breakfast, Soven looks around the table with a measure of curiosity.
He stops in mid-bite when the man inquires about looking at the mask, his eyes go to Iacobus and then back to his food.

Interesting these people are for sure, Soven thinks to himself. Finding himself of the opinion that his party is certainly the best, Soven smiles and returns to eating.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

present.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven smiles as he grabs a few things for breakfast. The smile fades at the distress shown by the venture captain. It returns with Komana's enthusiasm though.
"I too am looking forward to meeting this other team."

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven quickly drops the pathfinder into his pocket, somehow able to supress his curiosity.
Soven nods at the visitor and finds Komana's enthusiasm and smile to be highly contagious. Smiling in agreement, Soven sweeps his arm to indicate he will follow her lead.
I still think breakfast with a dragon would have been nice.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven sighs in an unsuccessful attempt to hide his surprise at the elves absence.
Desna's path! I say, you never can know the mind of an elf. Worse than gnomes sometimes..... Well, let's at least see if his key is there.

m human (taldor) mnk1,ftr3

Soven raises the key to the others and holds his breath.
He studies the faces of Komana and Iacobus for an indication of success or at least the result.
