One of my players wants to create a Tiefling. He wants to take the Fiendish Heritage feat and roll on the alternate trait/ability list. I'm a little confused how this works though. The heading for this list says the trait or ability rolled replaces the standard one. Some of these are easy to tell, such as a new spell-like ability would replace their default Darkness ability. A new skill bonus would replace one of the ones they have.

But others aren't so clear, how do I handle it if I roll something like "can speak to animals" or "speed increased +5 feet"? Do these replace their spell-like ability or darkvision? Also when something replaces something else like their skill bonuses, do I choose which it replaces randomly or let the player choose? Also, rolling 100 says roll twice, do I replace two things with the two abilities rolled or does this earn the player a 2nd for free?

Any help on properly creating a Tiefling would be appreciated since the player seems pretty excited and I don't want to tell him no just because it is hard to decipher how to properly do it.

Damiel's character sheet .pdf for the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Skull and Shackles is messed up, the card type names do not line up with the rows for the number of cards. Is there a corrected one somewhere or plans to correct the one available for download?

In regards to the 8 promos that are going out with the Adventure Card Game subscriptions.

I just discovered the game myself and was going to subscribe today starting with the first adventure deck (I already bought the base game and character add on pack).

I assume this means I missed out on the first two promos as part of the subscription, is there any way at all to purchase or get these through Paizo or am I out of luck :(

An evocation wizard in our group believes he can use the Quicken Spell feat with the force missile spell-like ability at level 1, is this possible?

I have a player who created a Barbarian for my campaign and went very over-the-top in min-maxing him for combat. He chose Half-Ogre and reduced his Int, Wis, and Cha stats down to 7 (so he has Int, Wis, and Cha of 5, 5, and 7 respectively).

He obviously doesn't care about the lack of skills and Will save but I feel there should be some kind of repercussions for him dropping his two thinking stats down to a 5.

Any suggestions?

Along the same lines, do falling creatures still provoke AoOs in this way?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Do you threaten all squares within reach in 3-dimensional space? So does a normal medium PC threaten the five-foot space directly above him, so that a flying creature who passed directly over him would provoke an attack of opportunity? What about the five-foot space above-and-beside him (on a diagonal)? Would a flying creature who lands in front of a medium PC provoke an attack of opportunity for moving through that space?
