BEWARE THE LOGUE!!! Nothing good will come of it and there WILL be lots of blood. And gore. And icky things. And, ah well, you get the picture... ![]()
![]() Erik (correct spelling!) and Josh, thanks for being such great hosts and sports (no hard feelings, I hope)! The Bristlesticks thank you for all your hard work and passion for Paizocon and Pathfinder. The banquet was awesome and I can't wait for next year's Paizocon! See y'all at GenCon in August. MC Frosty and Elrik Mona in the hiz-ouse! ![]()
![]() Well, actually, it was not very clear as to the "buddy" system. It EXPLICITLY states that: The lottery will not assign you to events that you gave a 0, and it will not assign you to events with conflicting schedules. The lottery will assign each day's events in separate rounds. We'll randomize the list of attendees and, going down the list, assign people to one of their highest-ranked available events. When we reach the bottom of the list, we'll re-randomize it and start again, continuing this process until no more assignments can be made. We'll repeat this process for each day. This process is designed to allow the greatest number of people to attend one or more events each day (although we cannot guarantee any particular event or number of events to anyone). -- That part's understood -- It then states: You may request one other PAIZOCON attendee as your "buddy." You and your buddy will always be assigned to events together. When you make a buddy request, your buddy will be sent an email asking them to accept your buddy request. They must accept your request before the lottery begins. Nowhere does it state that you have to pick the same events as your "buddy" nor that it would be "easier" to co-ordinate with that buddy, so your insinuation that we didn't follow the clear instructions is patently incorrect. Now I'm more than willing to admit my error if you can show me exactly where this is supposed to have been stated. Obviously, I was one of "those" who (aside from 2 events) was assigned to events that I rated as 0. Not only that, but I was assigned to an event that I wouldn't be permitted to attend as I am not a published Paizo author: Game Design Self-Editing Workshop for Pros by Sue Cook. So, now, to be clear, the only way to actually attend the events I rated as "5's" is to hope that they're still open when event registration is re-opened on Monday? Just wondering... ![]()

DOH! Actually, it was all part of my sinister plan... uh, no. I'm an ass, with bad memory for names. Faces, though, faces I never forget. Unfortunately... ;p ![]()
![]() Getting to this late, but I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who wrote and ran the games for Pathfinder! This was my first Gen Con and the first time gaming in about 10 years and I had a blast! All hail the Were-Cabbages! I played Silken Caravan with Greg Vaughn: awesome, Greg! We came so close (millimeters) from being slaughtered by the Harpies and it was great for me to play my first adventure in the desert (being Qadiran and one of the few clerics of the weekend). Sunday I played Silent Tide with Lou as the GM. One of the guys at our table ended up being from my home town which was crazy since I haven't lived there in over 13 years. Lou is a great GM and really gets in to the storytelling and the characters so he's a blast (and I'm not just saying that 'cause he's my brother)! Ass of the Drow was CRAZY! My character sheet got screwed up (an 8th level bard), but I had a great time. Almost died trying to sell other Drow into slavery; failed an assassination attempt on my Clan Matron; had a Demon Lord protect me by putting me with the Clan I tried to sell into slavery(!); fled after everyone and their mother tried to destroy that clan (that clan Matron ultimately won); got cursed by that Clan Matron and my genitalia fell off (thanks, Tim Hitchcock); got the curse removed by a allied sorcerer (genitalia grew back) and then died by poison gas. Too fun! Thanks to Nick and the Paizo crew and special thanks to Lou, Greg, Nick, Tim, Craig, Mike, Boomer, Liz (cookies!), Dave, Stefan, James, Mike, Roan and any of the rest of the Were-Cabbage crew (who I may have forgotten, sorry) for being so cool, writing so well, and making me feel like one of the gang. Lookin' forward to next year! |
