Hello @ geometry dash, I remember Dragon Mirth—those old strips are surprisingly hard to track down by image alone. I’d guess this one is from the early-to-mid ’80s, since Dragon Mirth was already a regular feature by then. For example, issue #73 (May 1983) has it listed as a dedicated feature.
I think you may be remembering a Dragon magazine variant or alternative rule, rather than the standard Improved Familiar feat. In Pathfinder, the normal feat lets you replace your existing familiar with an improved familiar; it doesn't provide an additional benefit for simply keeping the original familiar. |
