Unless AoOs changed significantly from 3.5 (never bothered to check), that's the answer.
The trait still works *except for PFS* which is why a lot of people are crying.
Also, it used to work for bows. Bows don't do AoOs, and I don't know of any/many combat tricks you can perform with a bow.
