SuperFogeys is a great comic I've recently started reading, and creator Brock Heasley was approached by Team Frog (formerly Crunchy Frog) to create miniatures and game rules for it. Thus the SuperFogeys kickstarter was born.

Here is the comic for anyone that was curious about it, but the miniatures being created are done by Gene Van Horne, and the two he's done so far are incredible to say the least!

The premise of the comic is that the old superheroes are retired to a rest home called Valhalla to be cared for, but it doesn't center around just geriatric antics and jokes at their expense, it actually has a deep plot with a lot of amazing storytelling about how their lives are still going on, even in old age.

The project, itself, is structured so that there is a base pledge you come in at, depending on your interest (the smallest pledge reward receiving level of $5 gets you a PDF of the game rules, $10 gets you both starting miniatures) and then as minis get unlocked, you can add them to your pledge for $5 a piece.

Give it some consideration, as new models are unlocked every $1,500, so you could get some really fun, very well made, old superheroes and a game with which to use them!

Ed Fortae, of Troll Forged Miniatures, is looking to expand his trollcast minis with some alien critters. The prices are pretty darn enticing, and he has a series of inexpensive scenic bases in the mix as well.

$10 gets you 20 x 25mm bases
$15 gets you 8 x 40mm bases
$25 gets you both of the aboves

Most of the higher level minis pledges just involve getting hordes of the low level stuff, but as stretch goals get unlocked, they become available as add-ons for any pledge level as well as adding some bigger, badder things to the upper pledge tiers.

Definitely worth checking out, even if you only want some nice, cheap bases.

So, I came across this awesome laser-cut village kickstarter and I noticed no thread for it. I figured this could be of use to a lot of you.

Also, they are running a promotion at the moment. If you join the kickstarter before the project funds (which is looking likely), you get extra stuff added to your reward level for free! The more you spend, the more you get.
