Where is the rule that states a check with a trait like strength gets the bonus for strength? Just because it's a check with the strength check doesn't necessarily mean it's a strength check? I ask because my understanding that a check and the skill used to roll for the check are different. Your skill had the strength trait added, but the check is still a combat or whatever check.
