A good question was asked to me earlier today about a character idea.

"If I roll an android and DON'T have armor equipped, do I still get an armor bonus because my body is constructed from a form of metal?"

I guess she was asking if this would go along with an objects Hardness rating and than after that harness rating was depleted would affect the character's Stam/HP.

It makes sense to me, since the android is made of some kind of alloy and not flesh, but I wanted to ask everyone's opinion of this before I okayed it. I personally feel like it would be game breaking.

I thank everyone for there input on this topic. My main question was if I were to play an elf could it be the same character from my Pathfinder campaign and retain the knowledge of their past with the exception of events due to the Gap.

I think because there is no information on a time frame between Pathfinder and Pre-Gap, this just makes it impossible, like Shinigami02 said.

This made way more sense now that someone said it! Thanks! :D

Magic 'space travel' predates the Gap.

In Pathfinder you could worship Aroden, it just didn't do you much good. No reason you couldn't worship other long dead gods.

I wasn't sure how to interpret it as they were the same elves or generation as in family/offspring. So, Elves (within in both timelines) would have memories of a Pathfinder campaign but not the events of the Gap, right?

First off; Let me apologies if this question has already been answered or theorized. I know there are already tons of posts on The Gap, but mine is centered around Elves and their role in the new Starfinder game.

Let me ask this question real quick; does anyone know when space travel actually started? I know from the Core Book that Drift Travel happened after The Gap, but was that the first and only time anyone went out of their atmosphere?
It's a really weird question because I'm wondering the time frame of The Gap. The Core Book states that there are historical records (I'm guessing from the Pathfinder timeline), and also stated in the Core Book Elves are said to live 750 years naturally. Could an elf from the Pathfinder timeline be alive to be in the Starfinder timeline?
"IF" Golarion is a "fantasy Earth", and it took 66 years from Wright Bros to Moon landing, how much longer would starflight take to have been invented. In addition to the 300 years, is my idea of an Elf who has been in both worlds possible?
In addition, what about the old Pathfinder gods? Can they still be practiced? (Especially on Castrovel)
