Thank you! I think I'll want to make the NPCs my own anyway. Nothing much to be gained from playing the cRPG in terms of GM prep then. I'll keep lurking around the forums then. I appreciate the input.

Hello! I'm very excited to run Kingmaker 2e for my friends in a few months and I'm prepping as much as I can. I'm 95% done reading the book and I have the companion guide, along with a bunch of recommendations from this forum. I'm tempted to grab the cRPG and play through that to learn the story a bit better and understand the game better, but I'm worried the 3.5 based mechanics will throw me off too much, since I've only been playing PF2e for a few months. How helpful would it be to play the cRPG before I run the game? What are some things you wish you had done before running your first session? Thank you all in advance! |
