Apologies. I did some searching, but nothing came up with my chosen search parameters. It's probably right in front of me, in the Core Rulebook or Ultimate Magic. Anyway...

Let's say I'm a Cleric of "Insert God Here", whose domains are Freedom and Madness. I've chosen to be Neutral, and channel negative energy primarily. Here is my question.

When I choose to, in combat, channel negative energy to harm the living, do I:

1) choose which effect I want (the "slow" effect or the "confusion") at that moment, or
2) is this something chosen at character creation?

Restated: Once I say I'm going to go with Variant Channeling, are both domain variants open to me, or do I have to select one only.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

I have a question. Searching didn't find me any threads that cover this specifically. The question concerns my halfling fighter (who has DR via Cautious Fighter & the Stalwart feat tree), but I suppose Barbarians would want to listen in. You will want to ponder these items before answering...

Cord Of Stubborn Resolve (Ultimate Equipment, Wondrous Items, Belt Slot)
Rager's Aid (ACG, Alchemical Remedies)
Bolstered Resilience (Ultimate Combat, Feats, not a combat feat)

Hold on tight...

Assume I've just gained 9th level and have taken Bolstered Resilience, and I've also purchased a Cord Of Stubborn Resolve. Let's also assume I've used some leftover gold to buy a few packets / wads / uses of Rager's Aid. Scenario: my groups is fighting an HBB (Hypothetical Big Baddie), and it has taken some damage (say 50 to 75%, i.e. the end of the battle is within sight). Finally, my question:

If I've taken a round to throw a wad of Rager's Aid in my mouth (and begin chewing), and I re-enter the battle, and announce on my turn to my DM that (as a swift action) I wish to double my DR this round (Bolstered Resilience) until I'm hit or the start of my next turn. Can I continue to do this for 5 more rounds (Rager's Aid), as we fight the HBB, *WITHOUT* having to roll the 1d6 (nonlethal damage, Cord Of Stubborn Resolve) until I'm exhausted. At which point I make a single 1d6 roll and am (no escaping it) fatigued. But not exhausted.

This seems a better, although cheezy, way to go (using the RAW), then simply doing without the Rager's Aid and taking the 1d6 nonlethal every round. If I'm mistaken about all of this, I'm confident one of you will find what I missed.

We're all about to hit 9th soon, so this is quite relevant. All insight is appreciated. Thanks in advance. Apologies for long-windedness.

Oh, hey, and as a fun addendum question: At the end of the above battle (I'm fatigued), couldn't I just slump down in a corner and open a jar of Halfling Alchemical Preserves (ARG, Halfling Equipment), and be okay again within moments?

Hi all,

If I am (example) a Swashbuckler who has obtained a Blue Scarf (Swordmaster's Flair), and who also takes Lunge at 7th Level...

Do both the Scarf, and the Feat, stack (if I use them both). Is my Reach now 15'?

Thanks in advance (I *did* search, but nothing specific on this issue).
