I'm really excited about the "Starfinder Galaxy Guide" but I hope SF2e doesn't have a separate line of setting books like PF2e does, the extra cost of the Lost Omens setting PDFs is one reason I stopped buying PF2e books and switched to SF1e.

I could be misunderstanding you but OG Starfinder rpg has been doing that: The Pact World, Near Space, Drift Crisis, and Ports of Call.

I love Bruce Cordell's recent setting called "The Strange".

A suspend button/choice is pointless. It is not in the interest of Paizo to do such a thing. Customers who do cancel their subscription will come back when their situation improves.

There is always the PDF option. I have a backlog of rpgs I have yet to try anyway so it won't be a problem. I would be more worried about boardgames.

I understand that the final product will be self contained. Just wondering if the Pathfinder 2e Corebook will be sufficient to run the playtest version. I rather not buy more than 1 book mainly because I'm not interested in PF2 itself.

Does the Pathfinder 2e corebook require the Pathfinder Gamemastery Guide or is it good on its own? I'm really just interested in one book having all the rules to run a game (more specifically, the rules necessary to run Starfinder 2e).

Looking at the 2e corebooks, I am confused between the Pathfinder 2e corebook and the 2e Player corebook. Did 2e get split into 3 corebooks?

Just got the 2nd ed playtest rulebook through Humble Bundle. It requires PF2 Player Core and GM Core. Would I be able to run a game using the Pathfinder 2e srd instead?

In Stargate Atlantis, there was a species that posed a threat to Atlantis called the Wraith. They can be simply described as space vampires. If I wanted to emulate this in game terms, how would I go about it? Would I go about building it using character themes or by archetypes?

Between class, theme, and archetypes, you should be able to cover most if not all the roles depending on the number of players. If the GM is smart, he would tell the players in advance what skills his players will need for the adventure he plans to run.

I came across Starfinder through Humble Bundle deals. When it first came out, some Pathfinder fans were proclaiming that they would not move onto PF2 since Starfinder was a preview of what was to come for PF2. I therefore assumed that PF2 was Starfinder with minor changes to fit a fantasy theme better. It has been 7 yrs since SF first came out and if they are seeing a sales slump, a new edition may be in their best interest. In the meantime, I'll stick with SF until they offer it on Humble Bundle.

It would look mostly empty :P

I have not played much of the game yet, only a couple of hours but

game plot spoiler:
maybe produce a dimension supplement
and there are of course,
game plot spoiler:
powers that the character unlocks.
Other than that, it is pretty much hard science.

Did the devs ever talk about why they capped spells at 6th lvl? If so what were their reason(s)? I apologize if this was asked before. Just picked up Starfinder in Humble Bundle deal.
