Liberty's Edge

Hey James, I picked up Hans Biedermann's Dictionary of Symbolism at your recommendation and I love Barbara Walker's Woman's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets. Do you have any other suggestions for resources like these? I'm an English major and with finals upon me I can never be surrounded by enough books. Thanks!

Just going to sit here and mash F5.

Hey All, my order has already shipped but I'm still not able to access the PDFs. Please fix this as soon as possible. Thanks!

Isn't a cleric of Amadeus just the fancy way of saying bard?

Mr. Jacobs, of all the villains you've run, who was your favorite and what was their crowning moment of villainy?

Hey Jason, thanks for answering all of our inane questions! Of all the villains you've run, who was your favorite and what was their crowning moment of villainy?

Thanks for the advice thus far, I really like the idea of preparing lines of dialogue ahead of time. I feel like he'll be able to grasp the character and eventually start getting into it a bit more. Looks like someone has some homework.

So I'm DMing a game with some really brilliant players but one of my friend has trouble getting into character and coming up with things on the fly in terms of character and role play. He's a really smart guy who loves the story aspect of RPGs but feels really uncomfortable engaging and coming up with dialogue in character on the fly. I was hoping that you could share some tips to help him feel more comfortable or to encourage getting into it a bit more. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the clarification guys. I'm using the Honor Guard archetype so the overall bonus I'd be providing would be +5 and seeing how my ward is going to be an Abberant Sorceror I think that's going to help out quite a bit.

Liberty's Edge

I'm building an Honor Guard Cavalier for an upcoming game and have a question about whether I can use Bodyguard and Saving Shield on the same ally and have the effects stack. Assuming that I take no other attacks of opportunity and am adjacent with my ally I see no other reason why I couldn't just hurl myself shield first into harm's way.

Is there an official ruling that says I can't?

Being from Boston, I can' tell you how frustrating it is to have everyone assume we have that accent. At this point that accent is rare and only played up in the movies.

Now as for books, I'm read Dan Simmons' "Terror" right now, which is slowly creeping up on me. Before that I just read "Daddy's" by Lindsay Hunter which was a great compilation of short stories.

Spoiler:
One suggestion for changing the weapon type of Tempest is to have the mold on the new Moldspeaker completely cover the old weapon type and over a certain length of time change the weapon to the preferred weapon type of the new Moldspeaker. It would strengthen the connection shown between the mold and Tempest itself to Vardishal.

The dumbest movies ever made are anything by the Wayans Brothers.

Plus: Superhero Movie, Epic Movie, Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans etc

Oh and the Scary Movie series are unfunny crap as well.

To be fair "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka" was a Wayans brothers movie and still quite funny. Who doesn't love a parody of Blaxploitation films?

On the sci-fi movie kick though, I'm surprised Mansquito or Ice Spiders or Pterodactyl (starring Coolio!) haven't been mentioned yet
