Still consider myself new to PF2e, since I don't have encyclopedic knowledge I did on 5e.

I've got a level 3 frontliner Leshy Warcleric, to Serenrae in a party where he is the main tank (we had a barbarian, but I'm pretty sure he won't be playing anymore). He has Champion Archetype and is utilizing Full Plate with an armored skirt and an Emblazoned Stell shield, with a +1 Warhammer. I will be getting rid of the armored skirt at level 5 when I get my Str to 18. Other PCs are good at it if combat healing.

Playing Abomination vaults and my turns tend to be smash with Warhammer, Raise Shield, and move/Guidance/Bon Mot.

I honestly don't know what I should be looking for when it camera to magic items and could use help. Do I do scrolls to remove poison and disease so I don't have to prep the spells? Do I look to buy armor runes? Anything specific I should look for?

Thanks!

Best yet would be to simply max out Diplomacy so you can befriend them so that they can handle the harsh truth. Rarely does a social situation only allow one route to success (and it's poor writing IMO when it does).

He's a Leshy priest with Harmlessly Cute and other PCs that can target will, I'm definitely maxing diplomacy and taking Bon Mot.

Don't know if Harmlessly Cute is the best great, but the idea is to much fun to pass up. This adorable little leaf leshy who is to cute to offend when he asks silly things.

luckily there is a group chat and we have some time. I will definitely discuss it in the chat. I'm still interested in the experiences of others though

I'm new to Pathfinder in general, this is our first campaign in it and I'm still trying to get a feel of how things are often taken. There are a lot of things I see in D&D that are rules, but no one really cares that much about. So, trying to get an idea of how tables often go here (and yes I realize that all tables are different).

One of Sarenrae's Anathema's is that you shouldn't lie. Is this outright lying, lying by omission, all of the above, or DM's call?

I've got a Sun Domain Warpriest Leshy who follows Sarenrae and is only about 1 year old. He was created by accident from a burst of energy caused by the events of the Extinction Curse adventure, and was raised in the Dawnflower Library by Vandy Banderdash.

So, Sarenrae Cleric, very young in PC years, and in non-plant form raised by a priest who doesn't believe in lying. I like the idea that the PC doesn't know how to lie at all and doesn't do it (kind of like a younger child who either just tells the truth or says "I don't want to tell you"). Over time though I could see that as getting super annoying for a party in social situations and want another option. What do you think, would not responding or not responding completely tick off Sarenrae?

There is a beast Eidolon choice. No reason why you couldn't have it look like a goose. The only issue is that it doesn't have a flight speed.

Don't have constructive feedback since I'm new to PF2E since my DM wants to run this over 5e. I do appreciate the information though, it is helpful to have a good impression of what to expect when we start.

Cavalier is an interesting option and worth looking into, thanks. My party is light on frontliners, so having some extra HP around could be very helpful. Especially since you can get some cool feats to protect them with a shield.

I don't have intimidation trained currently since at least one, possibly two, other PC will have it trained and will be using it. I will check out Bon Mot to see if it will work though since I'm training in Diplomacy already and have 14 Cha at level 1 with the intend to boost it over time.

I was thinking from an action economy aspect, I would strike with his scimitar, raise shield, and command the Beastmaster Mount. The Mount would then be able to attack/support and move a little bit out of melee to force the enemies to use a move action to get to me.

I do appreciate the input though, it really does help since I am still not completely sure how it will all play.

New to PF2, but just like every other system I like to over think and overanalyze character creation (call it a sickness, call it an obsession, call it an escape from life, call it being a normal behavior for TTRPG players, whatever).

How useful is a Beastmaster dedication and companion? Does a mount give you a big advantage in a dungeon crawl? PC is small, mount would start out medium size of that helps.

Having played an identically-statted Warpriest to 17th level (so far) my one piece of battle advice is to flank as much as you possibly can. It goes a long, long way.

I will take it and use that advice as much as possible. Thanks! :)

Switching armor is no big deal. I went with more of an unarmored look for him (still not sure if a Leshy has a gender really, but don't really care about that). The Sun domain Leshy warpriest is set though.

The issue is the rest of the party. We've got a Wizard, a gunslinger, and a strength rogue (ruffian I think it's called). The rogue is playing a build that focuses on grappling, tripping, and disarming and can stand in the frontline with my leshy. We may have another if someone else joins, but don't know for sure on that.

I've got a 16 str, 16 wis, 12 dex, and 14 cha starting out so I have more healing font spells. I know at least the gunslinger has a focus on intimidation. I figure in the frontline I will be using movement, weapon attack, and raise shield for many of my turns with spells there for support. I foresee a lot of early spell slots being used on magic weapon to buff the gunslingers gun since they will have a better chance to hit twice in a turn than I do.

Honestly, I'm still not entirely sure the best battle strategies on this system so I'll see how it plays out.

Hello, I'm new to PF2e as our DM wanted to make the switch from D&D 5e and will be starting a new campaign relatively soon.

I'm looking to fill a tank and healer role and planning on doing a Leshy Warpriest Sun Cleric of Sarenrae (this is set in stone because I spent a fair amount of money on a mini and really like the concept). Campaign will go to level 12 or so.

How much does the Medic Archetype add to the game and the medicine skills in general? Can you like without it or do you really need to have that much healing? I believe I will be the primary healer in general, so I won't have a huge amount of backup.

Any suggestions and thoughts? Any advice you can give to a newbie in making it right?
