Hi, I'm Mike was Dming the ROTR AP for the last few years until I moved to Hull. Played through the basic D&D set 2nd ed, 3rd ed, shadowrun, harn, cthulu and chill am involved with a group very new to RPG's playing the good ole fashioned Rules cyclopedia set very basic very limited but the DM is making it fun am trying to get them to play a scaled down version of Pathfinder. ( to no avail )
I allowed the party to skirt round the edges of the thistles along the western edge till they reached the rope bridge.
Well for me the quality of the AP's. Have just finished Dming Burnt Offerings with my group of six players, and what normally happens is someone else will then run a game be it Traveller Harn Shadowrun 2nd ed D&D or whatever as we go round the table until it comes back to me again, but they are loving it soo much that I have just started Skinsaw Murders, all of this is happening in the middle of awaiting a work transfer to another city, and they all are wanting to get the most out of the scenarios whilst I am still with them. Also it has to be the other players throughout the world that have given so much to the message boards to all the Dm's writing up their campaign Journals for whatever AP.
Sniff sniff alas poor cleric. I know the feeling went through Temple of Elemantal Evil myself with a mage named Fredigar Cripps all those years back when 3rd ed just came out and the dm is playing a half orc kick ass barbarian in my Burnt Offerings. He was the only guy to originally survive into the nodes everyone else had 4 or more character changes lolololololol.
I believe that the old light has a greater part to play in later AP's though I gave my party permission to enter some of the ruins via a key that allowed limited access to some rooms below thus saving the remainder for the later AP.On the fly I had a couple of rooms that where being used by an Ethereal Filcher( MM pg87 3.0 or pg104 3.5 ) as its lair.
As for Choppers Isle there is Deneks Campaign Journal that I used for inspiration I would recommend having a scan through all of the Journals they are a blast and a great source of ideas for those DM mental blocks we all get. http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/gaming/campaignJournals/dene ksRiseOfTheRunelordsCampaign
I bloody love Pathfinder so much so that I am selling all my 3rd and 3.5 material to a local gaming store bit by bit.Or giving some of it away as I expect to be moving soon aswell. For those of us fans in the UK the best place I have found for pathfinder is the Orcsnest shop in London fantastic online and quick delivery too. www.orcsnest.com Check it out.
Hey the first few weeks are always the hardest everyone settling in some new some have teamed up with others before, am a bit slow due to a bit of sunstroke my fault for having an outdoor job lol so excuse the lack of exciting posts the last couple of days, but I'm still here for the duration Aint you lot lucky
This is my 1st ever post wahoo. I'm DMing and was wondering if anyone had any ideas for the repeating crossbow up for sale with the name VANSAYA enscribed upon it. Would like to congratulate the Paizo team for a new outlook on D&D and the ROTR AP and all the other contributors that inspire me on the forums. |
