Here is a example of what I mean: http://paizo.com/products/btpy8tdu/discuss&page=2?Gypsy#88 When one reviews a product I expect to hear about more than just the title. I expect to hear about what inside the product. When possible in a professional, objective and honest way. Instead because some posters here don't like the product. Decide to post some one star reviews in what can only be called a smear campaign towards the publisher imo. The reviews are within minutes of one another. One after another. It's entirely possible all three are very fast readers. Which I don't think is the case. I understand and respect not liking the title. It's still kind of extreme thing to do imo. Why not contact Paizo about it directly. It just shows a complete bias and not really wanting to actually talk about the product. How is anyone here to trust past or future reviews from the same posters.
Hello to all, I'm looking to join a Pathfinder group. Preferably on Saturday or Sunday. As my work schedule during the week while stable may require me to work days or nights. It's not to say 8 canthe game on weekdays. Yet two months I can be working from 9-5 or 10-6. Then another month or two 12-8. Send me a PM if interested.
Hello Everyone, were looking for two or more players to join a upcoming Giant slayers campaign. The game is going to be held in Montreal Quebec A few guidelines: We are looking for players to be at the table. No Skyping or anything similar. We tried it once before and it's not for myself nor my current players While we understand that players have lives outside of gaming. We expect a certain commitment to the game. We play once maybe twice a month depending on the availability of players and DM. If your unable and/or unwilling to do please don't waste our times and yours. Our group is a mix of roleplaying with some minor optimization. So fair warning. We are also pretty laid back. We play to have fun and unwind.
I'm thinking of running the Adventure Path at a alter date set in Golarion. Which god would replace the Greyhawk gods? St Cuthbert = Iomedea Pelor = Sarenrae Kord = Gorum? Wee Jas = Nethys Olidammara = Cayden Cailean Fharlanghn = Desna Moradin = Torag Yondalla = Chaldira Garl Glittergold = Abadar Anyone I'm missing from the list? Or that others have added?
Copies from a thread on another forum: -Aasimar (the "how to create a new race" example) get Light as a cantrip at 1st level, Lesser Restoration once per long rest at 3rd level, and Daylight at 5th level. -There's a optional rule to make short rests 5 mins and long rests 1 hour if you prefer a faster moving game. -There's an optional spell point system to use instead of spell slots, but you can still only cast one spell each of 6th-9th level per day. -There are optional "villainous" character sub-classes: the Death domain for clerics and the Oathbreaker paladin type (which is kind of an antipaladin/blackguard). -There are optional rules for recurring expenses, building a stronghold, running a business, carousing, selling magic items, gaining renown, performing sacred rites, sowing rumors and training to gain levels; but no explicit rules on running a dominion. There are some suggestions on how to create further downtime activities. -There are optional rules for using square and hex grids; including flanking (which grants advantage) and facing. -There are optional combat rules for climbing on a bigger creature, disarming, marking (which grants advantage on opportunity attacks against the marked creature), overrunning, shoving aside and tumbling. There's also an option for hitting cover (basically the 3e rule). -There are optional rules for lingering wounds, massive damage and morale (a wisdom save in appropriate situations). -There are random treasure tables, based on the CR of the monster. -There are optional rules for making magic items. The cost is based on the rarity category of the item, and may or may not require special components at the DM's discretion. -There is an option for buying magic items, but no price list for individual items (although a simple one based on rarity could easily be extrapolated from the crafting costs and a mark-up). -There's a table for CR and expected abilities for monsters. The info on this isn't clear, but I think that it works by having a CR for offensive abilities and one for defensive abilities, and then the two are averaged to find the final CR of the creature and the creature's proficiency bonuses are then worked out from this average CR. It apparently looks reasonably easy to use in reverse starting with a desired CR and working out what the abilities might be.
-The maximum bonus on magic items is +3. -There are magical shields as well as armour.
-There's an optional rule for ditching skills and simply giving proficiency with ability checks based on one or more ability scores.
From the looks of it Kickstarter is changing it's rules. For the better imo. The original article where I found out about it: http://www.nbcnews.com/tech/innovation/kickstarters-new-rules-creators-must -complete-projects-or-fess-n209011 A link to the new rules: https://www.kickstarter.com/terms-of-use It's about time imo. Apologies if it's in the wrong section of the forums
Having read the Alchemy Manual I came across this feat which looked interesting. The feat mentions that any ooze created by the Alchemist is mindless and has no loyalty to the creator. So I have to spend a feat. Spend money on a oozing vat. Money and time to craft the pose. Only to have it dumber than a bag of hammers and not under my control. Seems like a mostly wasted feat IMO. The ooze would useful in either tripping traps in a room. Or to cover a retreat. It can't be used in combat as one does not control the ooze. Would it have broken the game to have whomever takes the feat control the ooze.
The two spells: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/v/virtuoso-performance and http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/e/exquisite-accompaniment If I just use Virtuoso Performance and have two bardic performances it would cost me three bardic performances. With Exquisite Accompaniment. The cost of the first performance is removed. Reducing it to ta total of two Bardic performances. Gives new meaning to a one man band lol. Have a read both spell correctly. I'm asking because my Bard levelled up last game and I want to definately take Virtuoso Performance.
Before the publication of this trait The Rogues had the class feature of being able ability to disarm magical traps. With this trait you don't even need a Rogue. A bard with this trait is imo better than a Rogue. Sure sneak attack damage is great. Except you have to specialize in ranged version of that. Or get torn apart in melee. I'm slowly getting back into the rpg. I like what I'm seeing so far except: Creating a splinter faction of Comstar then portraying them as stereotypical fanatical terroists with nukes. Really. I mean really. I liked the fact that some factions were joining forces and allying with each other. Apparently the devs think otherwise. I suppose it was too hard or boring to continue doing so. Federated Commenwealth we hardly knew ye. The collapse of the second Star League. Was it that difficult to write material for it. Did we really need to see the different factions in Battletech once again going around destroying each others tech and facilites. What was the point of being lost technology back only to lose it again. A quick question any difference in the technical readouts between companies. I know Fanpro then Catalyst acquired the rights to the rpg. I'm asking because I can get some used.
I have a player who is using a Alechemist in one of my games. He is at the level where he can get the Plague Bomb. What is the DC to save against his bomb? Is it the DC of the caster? Or the DC of the Disease? Since the description of the Plague Bomb says it copies the effect of the Contagion spell.
I have the feat http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/lingering-performance. I'm wondering how such a feat affect spells that duplicate these two bardic spells. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/v/virtuoso-performance as well as http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/s/shadowbard . Would the feat still apply to the second Bardic performance? Say my character as a move action uses Inspire Courage than cast the first spell. On his next turn he uses another type of perforamce Dirge of Doom by means of the spell. I know if my character stops using Inspire Courage it's affect last for another two rounds. Would the effect of second Bardic performance also continue for two more rounds once the spell ends?
I'm running a Rise of The Runelords campaign and have decided to take a break from the modules. Running my own adventures. One of the suggestions in the AP is for the party to run across some Reefclaws. Problem is with many aquatic creatures in the game is great swimming speed poor land speed. Once players reach dry land most aquatic creatures imo just can't keep up with most adventuring parties. I came across the Sahuagin in the Bestiary and my first thought was why did I not use these creatures before. Or more often. Decent land speed. Pretty good swimming speed. Good attributes and HP as well as a decent AC. Use both melee and ranged weapons as well as having access to divine magic. 0.I like their ability to Blood Frenzy and they can speak with sharks. I'm surprised no developers have ever used them as the main villans in a rpg setting. Would love to see Paizo do a AP centered around the Sahuagin. Or at the very least they play a big part. Anyone else like using them
