Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Dragon Slayers are proficient with all simple and martial weapons as well as Light, Medium, and Heavy armors and all Shields. Dragon slayers are also proficient with 2 exotic weapons of their choice.

Saves: Different dragon slayers undergo different forms of training and as such they have different strengths and weaknesses. As such, each dragon slayer has different good saves and different poor saves. When a character takes their first level of the Dragon Slayer prestige class they pick 2 Good Saves and 1 Poor Save, this represents their training.

Dragon Slayer Strike (Ex): A dragon slayer gains a bonus to attack, weapon damage, and skill checks against creatures that possess the dragon type. This bonus to attack, weapon damage, and skills is +1 and increases by an additional +1 at levels 3, 5, 7, and 9.

Low-Light Vision (Ex): Gain low-light vision, a dragon slayer can see 2x as far as a normal human in low-light conditions.

Track (Ex): A dragon slayer adds half their level (minimum 1) to Survival skill checks made to follow or identify tracks.

Inherent Elemental Resistance (Ex): A dragon slayer gains 1 point of inherent elemental resistance to Air, Acid, Cold, Earth, Electricity, Fire, Light, Shadow, Sonic, and Water for each dragon slayer level they possess.

Fearless (Ex): At 2nd level a dragon slayer becomes immune to all forms of fear.

Darkvision (Ex): Gain darkvision 60 ft., a dragon slayer can see up to 60 ft. in total darkness.

Elemental Weapons (Su): Each round as a swift a dragon slayer can channel elemental energy into their weapons. This energy applies to all their attacks for the round then dissipates. This energy deals 1d6 points of damage of one of the following types: Air, Acid, Cold, Earth, Electricity, Fire, Light, Shadow, Sonic, or Water. At 10th level this damage increases to 2d6 elemental damage of the appropriate type.

Dragon Stalker (Su): Dragons possess the ability to sense creatures—even invisible ones—though dragon slayers have developed ways of fooling a dragons—and other creatures—senses. Creature's that possess the blind-sense, blind-sight, scent, or tremorsense abilities must make Perception checks to notice a dragon slayer.

Dragon Slayer (Su): A dragon slayer has learned how to channel energy into their blades that can destroy a dragon outright. As a standard action, a dragon slayer can perform a single attack against a creature that possesses the dragon type, if this attack strikes it deals normal damage and the dragon must make a Fortitude save (DC 10 + Dragon Slayer class level + Strength modifier) or be slain. Dragon slayers can channel this energy up to 1/day for every dragon slayer class level possessed.

Dragon Slayer Talents
A dragon slayer can choose a talent at every even number level (2, 4, 6, 8, and 10). Instead of choosing a dragon slayer talent a dragon slayer may choose a feat for which they qualify for instead.

Delay Breath Weapon (Su): You can strike a dragon just right, temporarily disabling it's breath weapon. As a Standard Action, you make a single melee attack against a dragon, if this attack hits it deals normal damage and the dragon is unable to use it's breath weapon for 1d3+1 rounds. This attack is useable 1/day for every 2 dragon slayer levels that you possess.

Disrupt Energy (Su): A dragon slayer can create an immobile energy shield that surrounds all within a 10 ft. radius of them, this shield protects all within it from energy attacks—including a dragons breath weapon—. When a dragon slayer activates this ability they choose one energy type, all damage produced from the chosen energy type that would be dealt to creatures within the shield is negated as the energy flows around the shield. This energy shield lasts for 1 round for every 2 dragon slayer levels that you possess and is usable 1/day for ever 2 dragon slayer levels that you possess. To choose this ability you must have the Beast Slayer Strike +4 ability.

Disrupt Spell Resistance (Su): As a Standard Action, a dragon slayer can perform a single attack on a creature, if this attack hits, the creature suffers a penalty their spell resistance equal to their dragon slayer level for 1 Round for every dragon slayer class level possessed. This ability is usable at-will.

Enhanced Darkvision (Ex): A dragon slayers darkvision increases by +60 ft..This talent can be taken multiple times, increasing a dragon slayers darkvision by +60 ft. each time it is taken.

Enhanced Fortitude (Ex): A dragon slayer possesses a Fortitude unmatched by any other—except perhaps the dragons they hunt—. Gain a +4 stacking bonus to Fortitude saves. This ability requires a Good Fortitude save progression, Great Fortitude and Improved Great Fortitude feats.

Enhanced Low-Light Vision (Ex): A dragon slayers low-light vision is increased from 2x to 4x. This talent can be taken multiple times, going from a 4x low-light vision to a 6x low-light vision and so on.

Enhanced Reflexes (Ex): A dragon slayer has honed their Reflexes to an almost unnatural point. Gain a +4 stacking bonus to Reflex saves. This ability requires a Good Reflex save progression, Lightning Reflexes and Improved Lightning Reflexes feats.

Enhanced Will (Ex): A dragon slayer has fortified their mind against the horrors of the world. Gain a +4 stacking bonus to Will saves. This ability requires a Good Will save progression, Iron Will and Improved Iron Will feats.

Fearless Aura (Su): Your nerves of steel have the effect of bolstering the moral of your allies, you produce an aura of confidence that affects all those within a 15 ft. radius of you. All creatures within this area become immune to all forms of fear just as you are.

Improved Evasion (Ex): This works like evasion, except that while the dragon slayer takes no damage on a successful Reflex saving throw against attack, they henceforth take only half damage on a failed save. A helpless dragon slayer does not gain the benefit of improved evasion. In-order to select the Improved Evasion dragon slayer talent the character must possess the Enhanced Reflexes dragon slayer talent and the Evasion special ability.

Poison Drinker (Ex): Through constant exposure to poisons the dragon slayer has become immune. This ability requires the Great Fortitude and Improved Great Fortitude feats.

Scent (Ex): A dragon slayer has honed their sense of smell, preferring to expand their senses beyond their normal capabilities. You can track and detect creatures by their Scent. Any time that a dragon is within a 60 ft. radius you can make a Perception check opposed by their Stealth check to recognize the scent of a dragon.

Scentless (Ex): The dragon slayer has completely removed their own scent rendering them invisible to creatures trying to locate them with the Scent—and similar—special ability. When interacting with a creature that possesses the scent ability the dragon slayer suffers a -4 penalty to bluff and diplomacy.

Since i'm playing a ranger "dragon hunter", i want to propose this class to my master in the future and i want to ask you what do you think about it: is it good or bad compared to the other prestige classes? What would you change, how and why?

If you ask me, i would make take out the low-light vision and darkvision enhancement and replace them with an improvement by one step in the vision: you have nothing? You get lowlight vision. You have lowlight vision? You get darkvision 18m. You have darkvision 18m? You get scent (or maybe tremorsense). You have scent (or tremorsense)? You get blindsight... and so on.
I would also put the good save on Will and Reflexes and the bad on Fortitude.
What else?

As a dwarf ranger with the archetype "Dragon hunter", what do you think it would be best, to have the +4 to the save to rolls given by the racial ability "hardy" + the feat "steel soul", or the racial ability "Magic resistant"?
By tenth level i could get For +20 Ref +19 Wi +17 against dragons or a SR of 15.

What is better, the high save rolls or the SR, since i can cast the cure*wound and the trasmutation spells by myself and since we won't only fight dragons and such?

Make sure you have Fly and Invisibility, at that point his actions are irrelevant, since Spell Sunder requires a melee attack. Unless he has a means of Flight and See invisibility he simply won't be participating. if you are worried, Suthainn's suggestions of Protection from Arrows and Windwall are solid as are the summons.

Now if you want to be really mean have some Explosive Runes scribed and hand them off them to an intelligent summon. Then have the summon read them in the Barbarians face.

Make sure you are maxing your initiative (Anticipate Peril helps here as does a greensting scorpion familiar, reactionary and Improved Initiative).

At my level what kind of intelligent creatures i can summon that are able to do the task?

In order to win an arena fight against my party barbarian i'm thinking of some strategies that would let me win without permanently maiming him or killing him

It will be an all-is-permitted fight, the arena is circular and there will be traps

I'm a level 7 wizard and he's a level 7 barbarian

I was thinking of some charm to make him surrender, but if i'm right he would gain a nice +7 bonus on will saves (+2 rage +5 for seeing me as an enemy)

Other thing i thought was casting create pit and then web on the entrance/grease on the walls, after imprisoning him inside with some nasty creature. But in this case i don't really know how rules would work (Pit+grease: He makes a climb check with a strong penality? Pit+web: When he approaches the webs while he's climbing what happens? Does he make a CMB check with a malus? If he fails he gains the grappled condition while in mid-air?)

Do you know any other good combos?

Anything can help
