My husband and I try to fit in two 1 - 3 hour sessions a week and play a couple of scenarios. We play double-handed, each of us controlling two characters.

We have two parties of 4 characters going in RotRL. We came to the game fairly late in the release cycle and are having trouble sourcing US prints of decks 4 through 6 locally, so one party is stalled out waiting for deck 4, the other is halfway through deck 2. We now have another party of 4 going through S&S.

I try to reduce setup where I can. All the locations are alphabetized and I sort out the scenario card, locations, henchmen and villain(s) for the next scenario that party will play. I have a stack of henchmen set aside that tend to get regularly summoned so I don't have to look for them during the game. If I have time, I'll shuffle the various decks. The Broken Token insert helps a lot too, since there's so much more usable space to put sorted decks.

In the end, as long as we're having fun with the game, that's all that matters to us. If we're behind the curve on releases, we just have all that content waiting, rather than stalling out waiting for the next one to ship.

Did you subscribe to the bundled set? I had and was in that boat as well - no email, base in Aug and Sep... My promos had moved into the sidecart but the base + add-on was sitting as pending/backordered without moving. I spoke with CS and there's some issues with the bundled set that's causing it not to update, so my order had to be manually untangled.

I bought mine on eBay, but there were quite a few booster packs on Amazon if you don't mind a surprise. They're fairly inexpensive. I searched for pirates pocketmodel -any of the series seems to work.

I expect to put the plunder under the ship card that's supposed to be set off to the side. But I plan to use a little miniature ship (I picked up some of those Pirates of the Spanish Main ship cards that jones314 recommended--thank you jones!) to actually move around with the characters or leave "anchored" at a location.

Why? I know I'll forget where I left the ship and boy, will I not live that one down! (Cue Seoni or Valeros wandering around, wondering what happened to that ship that shoulda been parked right here....) And, well, it's just fun to move a little ship around...
