Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely look into them in more detail! Are either of you familiar with War for the Crown? At a glance it seems to have potential since the players start off heavily involved in a kingdom's politics and possible civil war. I could easily see the players ending up with titles or lands throughout the course of the AP, but does it explicitly go into the possibilities? Or are they assuming the DM will run with it "off-script" if the players go in that direction?

Hello everyone!

I'm getting ready to start my first Pathfinder (1st Edition) campaign so, in preparation, I've been skimming through the Adventure Paths. I have to give kudos to Paizo for providing us with so many varied and interesting adventures. I'd love to read them all in detail but, since I'm in a bit of a time crunch, I'm afraid I won't have the time to really go through them all before deciding, and so I turn to the community for help.

My players have expressed an interest in Kingmaker, in which the players ultimately end up either building or managing a kingdom, and while I think Kingmaker is excellent, I was also curious if any of the other APs have a similar focus. So the question here is: are there other APs with a kingdom-based focus or long term campaign mechanics like Kingmaker?

It doesn't have to be a kingdom, exactly. If the adventure path gives the players a keep, or even just a bunch of land, that might be good enough for a start. I'm really looking for something that would integrate the players into the setting and give them a foothold that they can build upon throughout the rest of the campaign.
