Also, it was less of PCGen trying to get d20 certed than trying not to get sued out of existence by WotC. CMP's interaction with the project was more one of master servant than mutual friends due to the directors of the project being CMP employed.
Interesting since I've actually been the Chair Monkey of PCGen for the last goodness knows how many years (including during the years CMP was formed). I certainly never worked for CMP (and nor did about ~30+ other volunteers, including admin staff). There certainly was no master / servant relationship. A little research and talking to the PCGen volunteers could have cleared that up (and several othe rmisconceptions you seem to have) for you.
