The polearm master fighter archetype gets a +1 attack bonus on readied attacks and AoO's at lvl 3. Do they stack with each other? Specifically if you use a readied attack to make an attack of opportunity do you get a +1 to attack or +2 to attack?

I love the general idea of the phalanx fighter archetype as a cross between a tank and a lockdown fighter but the only class feature I really like out of it is the 3rd lvl feature Phalanx Fighting that let's you wield polearms one handed. Is there a feat or something that recreates this ability so that I don't have to lose armor training for a bunch of meh abilities with a tower shield?

Is there a way to wield a two handed weapon in one hand other than the phalanx fighter archetype? I love the base idea of the archetype but that's really the only feature out of the whole thing that appeals to me. I'm really not sure that the tricks you get with a tower shield offset the loss of the armor training feature.
