I am in a situation where I will be boxed in with an ally who is confused. On my turn my intent is to cast invisibility as a spell like ability and close a door, trapping us in, however this character is considerably more powerful physically than my character so I'm hesitant to do so depending on the following question: Would a confused character attempt to attack an invisible ally?
Some information to ensure the answer is relevant:
I'm currently outside the room and I need to take the 5 step in order to close us in, so my space will be known, at least partially.
From the confused allies characters point of view If I cast the invisibility first, I could stay outside the enclosure and close the door from the outside. So the character can't be sure I am in the room.
The confused character character has line of sight to all components of my intended actions.
I would probably run it as a stealth check vs the opponents perception to determine if I am in the room, if the perception succeeds attack the square as normal (50% miss chance), but the likelihood of him succeeding his perception check vs my stealth seems lower than I would expect to simulate this situation.
Any thoughts on the situation, as I would really like to maintain this closed door to separate two very powerful characters who are both confused before they got stuck in an aggressive loop.
