The vote system is a necessity in filtering out all the haters. I'm usually a subreddit-only Andy, but even their thread announcing this errata is a little caustic and overly-sarcastic for my tastes. Not trying to tone police anybody, and critical feedback is obviously... Well, critical. But the amount of snark and assumption and doom-posting is just... tiring. Happens every time there's an announcement, too, the most recent being the Impossible Playtest. Maybe just wait until you see the thing to be disappointed, guys -- there's no prize for being first in that race. These boards can be even worse, which is why I only dive in maybe once or twice a month.I can also only imagine that it's harder to take tone-deaf or caustic feedback as seriously as more level-headed critique, regardless of its actual merit. But honestly, I have no idea because I can't even imagine being the guy who has to help aggregate playtest feedback. Sterner stuff, for sure. Sorry for the whinging; just needed to get that off my chest. ![]()

![]() I know it's a little messy, but I kind of hope live wire heightens by 1d4 with every rank, alternating between slashing and electricity. Having to wait 4 levels for your cantrip to catch up in damage feels kind of bleh. Also, highly unlikely and arguably off-topic, but I hope that Metal Elemental Sorcerers get live wire as one of their sorcerous gifts. I know that electric arc is considered the best cantrip, but live wire feels more fitting.
... Oh yeah, errata. Mauler Dedication (pg 207) uses "Strength 14" for its prerequisite instead of "Strength +2" to align with the new attributes. ![]()

![]() Minor typo noted in the Player Guide: on page 12 under "Suggested Character Options," the last column header says "Skills," but the previous column has the same title and the text in the last column looks more like Feats or Archetypes. Still, I'm really interested to see how this AP turns out! Might run my Abomination Vaults group through after they finish that adventure sometime this decade, haha. ![]()

![]() Nice! I feel like the Champion has some room to grow with its early-level feats, and oaths were always a bit niche by definition. So I think expanding base level feats and saving oaths/litanies for later is a good call. And the causes sound neat; I'm especially curious about Grandeur. It's also great to see more abilities roped into its aura -- just makes sense. Shield of Spirit is also a really flavorful defensive option! I'm curious if you can pick it up later, or if it's a choice you make at chargen with your deity? Excited regardless! The Champion was in a good spot already, and it's only looking better. ![]()

![]() I had a similar situation to a lot of folks here -- swapped to a hardcover from my subscription, ended up getting delayed shipping and no PDF. Thankfully customer service was very quick to confirm my order HAD actually shipped and then add the PDF to my account manually. So just each out to CS if you're having any issues, any issues! ![]()

Making a once fiersome dragon become easy pickings for other more opportunistic dragons, creatures or even adventurers. Ooooh, I'm getting Pacific Rim vibes. A colony of rust monsters could chip away layers of drained and dulled treasure from a great fortune wyrm, cleaning it like remoras for a great shark. Symbiotic parasites! |
