Hello, forums! I've a request for a bit of advice for a build. I like to think of myself as experienced, but all of the character building I've been doing for a long time has been theoretical, and I haven't seen gameplay in quite a while.
I'm trying to build a Pathfinder Chronicler for a Rise of the Runelords game beginning next week, and while I have an idea of how I want to get there, I'd like some advice on where to go after getting into the PrC. I know at least two of the characters we have in the party will be an Elf Fighter and Drow Sorcerer, and at least one other player can be counted on to make a heavy damage dealer.
My plan thus far has been to use Cavalier [Honor Guard] as my base and focus on Aid Another, specifically through using a longspear and the Bodyguard feat, and using the mount to quickly move around the battlefield, in addition to grabbing a level of Arcane Duelist so that I can later pass out "scrolls" of Bladethirst through Epic Tales.
My build:
Aasimar (small-sized, for character reasons, I understand that this is non-optimal), 25 point buy
Strength 14, Dexterity 15, Constitution 13, Intelligence 12, Wisdom 13+2, Charisma 14+2
Cavalier (Honor Guard) 1: Flagbearer, Lookout
Cavalier 2
Cavalier 3: Combat Reflexes, Bodyguard
Cavalier 4
Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1: <need a feat here> , Arcane Strike
Pathfinder Chronicler 1
Pathfinder Chronicler 2: Horse Master
Traits: Helpful (Halfling, allowed by GM), Armor Expert
Criticism and advice would be lovely. Thank you!
