Hello,
Me and my party have a few doubts about Magic Item Creation. Here's our situation:
We fought an Erinyes and she dropped a +1 Flaming Composite Longbow. Our ranger wanted it to become a +2 Flaming Composite Longbow. How do we calculate the price? Here's our perspective, without considering the bow price.
So the original bow would cost 4000 golds to craft. If I were to craft a +2 Flaming Composite Longbow it would cost 9000 golds. Here's where our problem occurs. From what we get from the rulebook, it should cost 5000 golds (9000 minus 4000) to make this improvement. Is this correct? Or do we miss something? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Hello,
I'm writing here because of a doubt that came up during the last game concerning opponents with the same Initiative roll. Here what happened in detail:
Bard from my party was in combat with a Babau demon. At the start of the fight they both rolled the same Initiative, but the Bard had higher Initiative modifier. They were in adjacent squares. So the bard started first (because of the higher modifier) and took a 5 foot step back to cast Cacophonous Call. The demon failed the saving throw and should have been affected by the spell. However, our GM decided that the demon should fulfill his attack since they had the same Initiative and were acting in the same time fraction of the round. Long story short, the demon hits the Bard, but after that is affected by the spell.
So my question is, is this the correct intepretation of the rule or the demon shouldn't have attacked at all, since it was affected already by the spell? When two opponents with the same Initiative are fighting, should there always be someone acting first or should they act in contemporary?
Thank you all in advance.

Hello,
I'm currently playing a lvl 6 Barbarian, soon to hit lvl 7, and was considering the idea of starting a Prestige Class or at least multiclassing. The problem is I can't seem to find a good option. Here's a summary of my character:

Lvl 6 Human Barbarian
STR 20
DEX 13
CON 14
INT 11
WIS 11
CHA 8

Until today I was leaning towards a CaGM Barbarian (missing the Invulnerable Rager archetype since my DM allowed other sources other than CRB only later in the campaign), but now this kind of gameplay has started to bore me.
I would have liked a Dragon Disciple build, but as you can see my CHA is way too low to qualify for the prerequisites (ability to cast 1st lvl arcane spells without preparation). Same goes for a Barbarian/Oracle build or Rage Prophet.
So I'm asking for your help. Is there any class or prestige class that would benefit my character or my only option is to go for a pure Barbarian? Thank you in advance.

Very clear, thank you. A last question if you don't mind: what if he is wearing a Spiked Gauntlet? Does he threat any square even if he's still holding a bow?

Hi,
A Ranger from my party has a doubt about the possible use of Quick Draw in an AoO. Given this situation:
He is right handed and he's wielding a Composite Long-bow, body in left hand and his right hand to pull the string. In his belt there's a Dagger or Shortsword or Longsword which he would normally use in his right hand, being right-handed. An enemy goes through the square before his eyes; normally this would not cause any AoO since he's wielding a ranged weapon and doesn't threat any square, but considering he has Quick Draw, would it be possible for him to draw his melee weapon as a free action with his right hand while still holding the bow in his left hand, and then strike the AoO?

Anyone willing to give me advice on where to spend the ability point? I was thinking of spending 4th lvl point in DEX, get Combat Reflexes at level 5, and then spend next ability boost in DEX again, so that by 8th level I can perform three AoO per round (I'm considering Come and Get Me, always if my DM allows it). Later I would go one point in CON (for Raging Vitality) and two in STR. What do you think about it?

I tried to let him see the point you explained and his answer was that maybe at later levels (8-10 he says) he will allow us the use of more books. Until then I'm stuck with CRB. What would you do in this case? I think I'm going to get Superstition, so that maybe I can access all the anti-spellcaster powers later in the game, but still have no idea about the ability boost.

I think we're going to reach high levels, since my master is building a long campaign.

Hello,
I'm sorry to start a new thread about yet another build, but what I'm looking for is something that I have not found with a simple search. I'm playing a vanilla Barbarian and I just hit lvl 4. Unfortunately our GM allows us to use the CRB only so I can't access all the cool stuff from other books. That makes me in a troubling position, since I would have played as an Invulnerable Rager, if not for this restriction. So here's my actual build:

Lvl 3 Human Barbarian

STR 20
DEX 12
CON 14
INT 11
WIS 11
CHA 8

Feats: Improved Initiative, Power Attack, Improved Sunder
Rage Power: Knockback
Weapon: Greatsword
Armor: Chainmail

I don't know which stat to bump in the first place. I have high STR, so my options would be DEX and CON and I can't decide between them. But what troubles me most is the choice of the new rage power. I was thinking about Superstition or Strength Surge, but also I would like Intimidating Glare in order to unlock Terrifying Howl at lvl 8.
Thank you in advance for your help.
