Well after two years my players have defeated Unity, saved Golarion and made a Goddess.
(SPOILERS)
Casandalee the Created
Good, Charm, Void & Knowledge
Favoured Weapon - Shield (weapon of choice for Azgrund and as she had acted as a shield for all the denizens with the potential of the divine energy destroying her in the process it seemed fitting)
Holy symbol - A space shuttle exploding creating the moment of her ascension.
I ran this as a Mythic campain - the players ended up lvl 19 MT 6- so you can imagine the crazy stuff they were slinging for the final fight for the boss (though it was needed Unity ended up being a CR 27 creature after the victory point nerfs to it)
The Odd Bunch (formerly Pushers of the Golden Button)
Azgrund (fighter guardian) the new Black Sovereign. Kul Innit saw an opportunity and as Azgrund had killed the king knew that they would accept him. (the fact that Veonyc helped in his coronation saying he killed Unity meant that Azgrund had respect of every tribe in Numeria, after all Kevol Kul was only immortal - our new king is a god killer)
Veonyc (bard paladin(of freedom) champion) Veonyc's performance at the coronation was only the beginning. Lillith his Lillend back up singer had wanted to go on tour so they did just that. Started a troupe and played off into the planes giving ample performances wherever they went.
Badger (Wizard archmage) For the most part Badger was happy to let Zernabeth run the Technic League. As long as she obeyed they rules the party had led out for her. It meant that whilst he was the most powerful captain of the league he could concentrate instead on understanding the secrets that had been fully unlocked with the destruction of the Divinity Drive. One day he found a file locked in League quarantine. A badly damaged AI unit. It seems that according to Gartones notes it had been discovered in Numeria's wastelands heading to Starfall in a body of badly damaged robot which was too simple for its complex algorithms. Hellion had been found.
Figit (druid (storm Lord) heirophant) During her travels the Gnome had already done much- gained the robes of the original Storm Lord and had assumed his title of StormWalker, but now the hard work was just beginning. Numeria was ravaged by radiation and alien invasion into the soil by plants. Whats a gnome to do? Luckily with the help of Paetyr who had some experience of this she could help save the land.
Whilst the party had separated they knew they would need to keep in contact. So Kronnir gave them each a device that when a golden button in Torch's habitat pod was pressed would inform them they would be needed to fight to save Numeria again....
GM perspective
First time running a full campaign like this. And boy was it Fun! Hard work but Fun!
Towards the end I did feel like the players didn't fully care about Casandalee's ascension- and i put that down to the interaction they had with her. (she only joined them as part of the journey into Divinity and whilst she could provide any maps and insight they required they didn't have the same connection due to the short time together) If she had appeared in book 3 and had changed it so that she needed to unlock her memories in book 4 that might have worked better but i'll know for next time.
Adding Mythic was really interesting both as players and as GM. You could feel the dread whenever they faced mythic monsters as they felt challenging. (the fight between Hellion and the party has got to be my favourite fight they had, second one being Bastion) and you felt the joy when a mythic power attack crited the great wyrm draon in unity's Godmind and one shotted it.
Overall I enjoyed running this adventure path. Been some highs and some lows and luckily the highs have been really good. Be interesting to see where we go from here.
