I currently have a character I am planning to do a classic cleric 3/ wizard 3 mystic theurge build with and the DM commented that I didn't have any way to get early access. It has been years since I have played so my choices weren't really optimized.
I have been doing some reading and I was curious what a build like this might turn out to be.
stats given: 18, 16, 14, 12, 10 , & 10
max hit points (all levels)
max 1st level money
use traits, 2 both used for magic knack, the first one wizard the second one archivist
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20051007a&page=3
race undecided, use gnome for the moment
level 1 wizard, specialty school illusion, feat: Precocious Apprentice (invisibility)
level 2 cleric, Deity Sivanah domain: trickery and trade one domain for Fate Inquisition (Ultimate Magic)
level 3 Archivist
level 4 Mystic Theurge
blinding ray is 2nd/3rd level on the divine lists but because it is an arcane calls it counts as arcane
fate inquisition gives augury a second level spell
these two would qualify my for Mystic Theurge, Archivist and Wizard would be the classes used
part of my question is how do the magic knacks fill in
another part is does the specialty school spell bonus work with precocious apprentice
and would my spell list/spell like abilities look something like this:
dancing lights (gnome)
prestidigitation (gnome)
ghost sound (gnome)
speak with animals (gnome)
wizard cantrips
1 - 1st level wizard +1 specialty school +1 high int
1 - 2nd level wizard (precocious apprentice) + 1 specialty school
blinding ray (specialty school illusion)
cleric orisans
1 - 1st level cleric +1 domain (disguise self) +1 high wis
augury (from fate inquisition)
archivist orisans?
2 - first level archivist (divine) spells +1 high wis
thanks for reading
