I'll try and find more info on these idols they sound quite useful.

So the basic idea is stick with general defensive items? I suppose that will have to do.

I'm actually a custom bloodline tailored to my character. It is decent, but has one rather important ability that lets me cast summon monster spells as a standard action instead of full-round.

Hello all. Long time D&D player here and new fan of the Pathfinder system. In the current campaign, I am playing a sorcerer who is fully themed on the summon monster line of spells. I am aware of the summoner base class but this one fit me better.

My question revolves around this however:
What kinds of items would best help this type of character? I am having trouble finding any that don't specifically address the monsters themselves. So far the best I have found is a Rod of Extend Spell.
