It gets clarified in the comment section of todays blog. You can't play a level 2 in a tier 1 scenario. It will be corrected in the next revision of the guide.

I asked this yesterday concerning first steps, which is listed as just tier 1.

All Tier 1 and 1-2 adventures can be replayed an unlimited number of times with a 1st-level character for credit. The Tier 1 and 1–2 adventures can also be played with a 2nd-level character once for credit in each campaign mode

from page 18 of the guild guide.

Gotcha, thanks to you both.

It isn't listed as a tier 1-2 though, just a level 1 adventure. I poked around some and that's the conclusion I'm drawing from this thread.

I have been running Reign of Winter, and am going to finish Snows of Summer tonight. I am going to start running PFS games on our off weeks (we play reigns alternating mondays).

My players have rolled 1st level PFS characters, but they are going to get the chronicles for SoS before we play a scenario. My question is do they need to play a scenario before they apply the chronicle from SoS? Do they apply it first and start their first scenario at 2nd level, or do they play their first scenario, and then apply the SoS chronicle as their second?

My intention was to run them through the first chapter of First Steps, but I am thinking now that it won't be an option (not a big deal, except that I already prepped for it, I can just run it for other people).

Bleh. I missed the product discussion tab. That's more balanced.

Just trying to make sure I have everything figured out before I get started.

Thanks for the quick response!

I just want to make sure I'm reading this right so I do it right if I decide to run them.

You get an xp for each part of the mission, so at the end of, for instance if they complete all six parts of the silver hex chronicles, they get 6xp and 9 pp/fame to apply to a first level character, bumping them up to three for their first adventure with that character?

New guy, searched a bunch for an answer to this question, and I think I have it right, but I thought I'd better ask.

For some reason, at the first chest with the swinging tree trap, the wizard decided to help the ranger open the chest. Didn't kill them outright, but knocked them both out.

I think I Had the wizard below zero three times that first night.

Didn't use random encounters tho, so no yeti kills.

How about if you are running an adventure path, and you don't have a character of that level yet? Does it just apply when they reach the appropriate level?
