New World: The Final Colonies is the name of the setting for my fourth edition games. The basic concept is that all the long time D&D races (humans, dwarves, elves, and halflings) were in the Old World. The Old World was running short on resources when the New World is discovered. The setting is still medival with suits of plate armor and the like unlike when the Americas were discovered in our time. In the New World, the dragonborn take the place of the Native Americans. The Tieflings control as Aztec like empire to the south. After setting up seven colonies, something happens in the Old World. No one knows what disaster occurred but the Old World is now controlled by demons and undead.

I've been meaning to expand the material into a full book but never seem to find the time. The linked blog is my first post about the setting. More material will follow

Should this go under television? I think so. Web series videos seem like tv shows even if they are short. I just stumbled on the More Than Human kickstarter. I thought some fans of Smallville and other superhero shows might be interested. It looks well done. I ask how long the episodes are. He said 7 to 10 mins for the first 5. He expects 9 to 12 for the rest except for the 15 min finale.

Soon after 4E came out, a product by One Bad Egg caught my eye. After languishing on my wishlist I decided to purchase it recently. My review of Races of the Shroud: Apelords is up on my site. I really liked the product. Unfortunately it got me interested in the Shroud setting.

So far I have Apelords and Purifiers. Purifiers came free or as the big charity bundle drivethrurpg did one year. I've never really read through it. Anybody have any more of the Shroud products they recommend? Has anyone used the apelord? I saw at least one person posted about using the race at one point but that was some time ago.

Cartoon Action Hour Season 3 has started a kickstarter campaign. It's already passed it's goal. The game is all about 80s cartoon shows like He-Man, G.I.Joe, and Transformers. There have been two previous editions of the game. The first is very different from the second. The new edition is probably going to be close to the second season.

If you are a fan of He-Man try to free playset for season 2. The game has G.I.Joe and Transformers like series premade as well. If you are at all interested in the game, I suggest joining the kickstarter at the avid viewer level as you get all the stretch goal mini-series pdf.
