Tyrion tops Lizzo back up to full health, "Thank you kind sssir!"

It seem's like we're going further down the rabbit hole, and it's time to collect some information on this 'V'. Maybe someone in town know's who it may be? It sounds like this person was giving orders to Hallod, and the investigation requires us to dig deeper.

Lizzo is astonished at Mandoo's suggestion to destroy the ingredients. These are worth valuable money, and he didn't become a pathfinder for the good of the realm. He suggests hauling the cache of goods back to the Inn, where we can keep an eye on them until they can be sold. They could potentially be used as bait to setup a trap for 'V', and then sold for gold.

Since we've been through the cave system, Lizzo looks to find an alternative path around the pond and back to the stump where we started.

Hey everyone, happy new year!

I noticed today that the PFS rules seem to have changed for what you are allowed to purchase. The official website now states you can buy level+2 for common items:

Purchasing Equipment
As you complete adventures, you will gain more wealth that can be used to buy any common item that is no more than 2 levels higher than your current level. Uncommon items may be granted by Chronicle sheets or through other special boons. Characters with the appropriate crafting feats may also be able to obtain formulas for equipment that they can create during Downtime.

I'm pretty sure that said only your level not too long ago, that's why my druid just recently got his L4 staff of healing.

I've been running a halfling storm druid, and he has become a pretty good blaster. I'll echo the statements that Tempest Surge is a solid focus power, and the debuff is great when it hits.

I've found that it's unlikely the BBEG will fail his reflex save, and it's better to target someone else with the surge to start off battle with. If you can apply clumsy, it stacks with flat footed to give a -4 to AC.

My first round is normally tempest surge, then flank with my cat companion and get in one strike. Hopefully with -4 to the targets AC, and letting me apply an extra 1d4 for flanking (cat specialty). The companion attack often crits, and a tempest surge + crit jaw attack will likely bring down a mook in one turn.

I find it a lot of fun to finally be rolling D12s! I'll often step into flanking at the end of a fight with the druid, and deliver a shocking grasp. The bonus for flat footed really helps landing it, and halfling luck has bailed me out a few times when I really needed to hit. That's been the biggest damage dealer for me.

The druid has a versatile spell list that includes healing and some battlefield control spells. So if you want to be a little more than just a blaster I think it's a great class.

Lizzo gives a slight nod of agreement, and finishes his mug. "I ssshould make myssself usssfull too, and ssscout the high ground. I'll be back before that ssstew is ready."

He leaps out of the wagon, landing with surprising grace for a creature of his size. Lizzo heads for the largest tree in sight. Where you see him scamper up the trunk and disappear into the foliage.

With the release of rules at Gencon, if I sign up for the Level 1 adventure playtest can I generate my own character and use that for the session? Or are only pregen characters allowed?

Thanks!
