The table (in general) is spells you can cast per day. Clerics don't "know" spells, they go "Hey god, I need some juice today" and they get it.

That's a perfect analogy! Haha. Thank you so much for the information, you both have been so helpful. That table is just confusing as I think the rulebook refers to spell slots about once and doesn't pick up the term again :P

Thanks for everything!

Yes. You essentially gain 1 spell of your highest level every time you gain a level. There's a table for it.

Gotcha, I wasn't entirely sure if that just meant the number of spells at that level I can cast/prepare per day (aka not changing the amount of slots of spells total), or if I'm just given that amount of spell slots for that level of spells.

Thank you again.

Ok I swear one last one. I was trying to find this in the rulebook but I must be blind.

How do I increase my spell slot amount? Is this something that comes with levels as well?

Thanks all for your responses. I'll definitely look at the character sheet you posted!

A secondish question (so sorry, as you can tell I'm quite new). When I gain a spell can I choose any of the divine spells in that list? I see the keywords and I'm unsure how they align with my stats etc.

Hello!

Want to start this thread by apologizing as I'm new to Pathfinder (and playtest etc).

I've rolled a cleric and am enjoying him so far, but I'm getting towards leveling up and have a few questions. In the graph regarding cleric feats, at level 2 I unlock a cleric feat (and every 2 levels after).

When looking at the levels for cleric feats I see 1, 4, 8, 14 and 20. How does my level choose which bracket I chose a feat from? As I'll be level two, am I only allowed to select from level one until I'm level 4? At 6 do I only chose from 1 and 4 etc? I'm just confused by what the levels mean and which I can pick etc.

Lastly, when I rolled my char I chose a very low strength modifier with plans to switch to Guided Hand. Huge mistake there, as I see it's no longer in Playtest :P. What can I do to modify my strength going forward? (I'm also a bit confused about the level up process but I'm sure my group can help me there).

Thanks!
