Yes, I managed to solo the game with Merisiel (I'll post the final list on that thread when I get home) though it did come down to having to roll an 8 or better on a D12 or else I was screwed (three cards left in my deck, I rolled a 12).
Rather than the scrying strategy I figured out that whenever I ran across the villain I would recharge everything possible and throw the fight. Since excess damage is ignored I would lose a card or two and then move on. I did get lucky that after encountering the villain with four cards left that he wound up on the bottom (I didn't know this until later, but breathed a huge sigh of relief when I revealed the second to last card).
