Announced for November! Product images and descriptions are not final and are subject to change. :)

Very excited for this! Especially when it comes out as the pocket edition (hopefully?)!!!

I had a general question, about purchasing products, which will ultimately apply to this when it comes out.

Options for purchasing are to order it directly through Paizo, that mega huge website that we all know about, or getting it through a local game store. Generally, will the price directly from Paizo be about the same as through a local game store?

I know that, generally, the rule books are cheaper from that huge mega website, but I would rather not support them, if possible.

Vigilant Seal

Thanks, Maya. In addition to producing a bloody fine RPG system, I have to give a big thumbs up for Paizo’s corporate values. Across the board, this is a company, I think, we can be proud to support. Please keep up the great job, both in getting us to roll our d12’s (the most forgotten die), but also in being in front on issues of diversity, inclusivity and civility. We need it right now.

"race" ??

sorry, slipped into old school…

I may have missed this in earlier discussions, but I was wondering if races that were included in the new rulebook would be available for organized, play characters? Or would some, like the Kholo, still require boons?

Yes. This feat applies whether you are shoving with your hand or shoving with a weapon that has the shove trait.

Many thanks!

Vigilant Seal

The feat allows as stated: “ You can attempt to Disarm, Grapple, Reposition, Shove, or Trip creatures up to two sizes larger than you, or up to three sizes larger than you if you’re legendary in Athletics.”

In regards to shoving, would this benefit a PC using a weapon such as a maul or warhammer with the shove trait?

Looking forward to all of that, but most especially the releases coming out in the summer; I've been hoping for some beefy Red Mantis content for a while now! I also love the theme of Curtain Call. It's going to be hard to decide between that and Fists of the Ruby Phoenix when our AV campaign wraps up and I take turn as the GM for the 11-20 campaign.

Also, will Godsrain be available in audiobook format?

That last question, I really hope so! All this news is really cool, but I’m very excited to see the fiction line started again.

So, as someone who has gotten into PF2 organized play recently, my highest level character may be third level by end of November? The idea of rebuilding a PC seems somewhat more important for higher level characters?

Vigilant Seal

Any PF games in the midcoast area. Possible relocation there in the spring?

So this isn't anything dramatic about the nobleman but just wanted to share the last game's Foxglove interaction.
He, of course, invited the party to accompany him on the hunt for the Tickwood boar. While regailing him of his various 'adventures' (hammed up with a lispy accent), a boar erupts from the wood just as the party is sitting down to lunch (Foxglove bringing along an entire dinner set and table for the day's activities). The boar charges a PC and hits a critical on the party's druid, immediately dropping him below zero hp. The arcanist attempts to attack but misses while the party's fighter, a female dwarf, scores around 12 points of damage on the animal. I let Foxglove go last on the initiative, figuring he could kiss ass to the member who dropped the boar. I roll a 20 on Aldrern's thrown javelin, then confirm the crit with another natural 20, for 12 points of damage, effectively killing the boar. The remaining hour of the game was used by Foxglove to tout his prowess in battle to the party and the crowd gathered later at the Rusty Dragon. He now expects the PC's to be very taken with him...because he is completely oblivious to the PCs' sarcasm LOL.

Is it possible to coup de grace a lycanthrope with a bladed weapon the is NOT silver? This came up in a game last night, and , philosophically/metagame-wise, I would think not. But it did fail the save, so....

Vigilant Seal

Brilliant! It'll make a nice distraction to get them away from Sandpoint.
Thank you!

Vigilant Seal

Prior to starting mine (last week), I actually had the PC's go through some adventuring in the Lonely Coast setting by Raging Swan Press. It means they get to Sandpoint with ~1000xp, but I am trying to keep them on the moderate progression. Another option, is the Falcon's Hollow/Crown of the Kobold King Scenarios. Mix up the geography a bit, of course :)

Vigilant Seal

I am set to start running ROTRL in a couple of weeks. Just curious if there is anything not obvious I should be prepared for when my players start? Some of them are a little hesitant to get locked into an adventure path, but the reviews have won them over (I think) LOL.
Thanks!

Vigilant Seal

I've been a lurker here more often than not, but have finally put away my 3.5 stuff and dusted off the Core book and my Bestiaries.
I am looking for an idiot-proof NPC generator that will also generate class levels for monsters as well as the usual character races. Thoughts? I have had some trouble getting PC Gen to run, working out the bugs on it. Realize this topic has probably been posted too many times to count....ha!
Happy Turkey day!
Also thoughts on preparing to roast tengus for the holiday? Should they be stuffed?

This is spot on. And a great piece of advice.

Is the problem really the min/maxed basher or...

The other players making poor PCs because they don't understand the rules or think a Fighter should have Exotic WP, Weapon Focus and Dazzeling disply as feats and wondering why their STR12 DEX18 CHA14 fighter isn't really dishing the damage with his whip?

The GM running combat orientated encounters where the above PC is gimped and not GMing to the other PC's strengths?

To add to that, incoporeal undead wouldn't be touched by the bastard sword he wields while giving the cleric and paladin something to fight against.

Really? He missed a shot with a blaster from across a cantina table. Even a stormtrooper's aim isn't that bad.

But to get back on topic, Dungeon Master may have been a good guy, but he was (to me) terribly creepy. I think it was those sideburns...

Oh yeah those sideburns....creep-a-tronic.

I always thought he looked like a gnome, a benevlolent, smiling gnome that was going to serve arsenic-laden cookies to you...

Vigilant Seal

Half -orc - second that. Half orc with an exotic weapon prof for one-handed bastard sword while the off hand wields a short sword or hand axe.

Vigilant Seal

How many halflings does it have to eat to have a full belly?

Vigilant Seal

As to the name, I wasn't aware of the conotations behind Valkyr, so if it isn't appropriate, i'll find somethin else...Norsca doesn't sound too bad i guess.

You could call them the Vanir, which in Norse mythology contained both males and females heroes/gods.

As to the weapon proficiancies, I would include something about axes...

Vigilant Seal

Could the aasimar/tiefling be substituted for a fey-mortal?
Or perhaps the aasimar/tiefling might be used as Tuatha de Dannaan, while mortals represent the Milesian Celts?

Vigilant Seal

I have a quick question, what is the opinion on purchasing the disk from your local gaming store versus purchasing the online version from Lone Wolf Development. Pros and Cons?

Just noticed this today, very well done. I had thought to incorporate and idea of older faiths into a campaign and this will fit nicely. As a devotee of Ullr, thanks!

Well, they were always good for the old feel dungeon crawl. I would purchase their products again, since I haven't gone down the dark path to 4e......

Hey,
Anyone know of a quick way to get information on monsters from the PRD as a text file or a stat block (other than copy and pasting)?
Thanks,
