i am as well

thnx everybody. plenty of ideas

its an established group at a store. usually two full tables. one full time dm and a couple backups ( i hold the clipboard). ill check a few of those out. previous enjoyable plays were slavepits and glass river. i found the confirmation rather silly and hard to get into as dm. enjoyed running the stolen heir but i let a 5th lvl sorverer play low tier and it was all over in no time ( first and last time)

this is fantastic. drawing out maps at the table is a big mood breaker

thnx for all the feedback. very helpful going forward

im new to pfs and i am wondering which scenarios to have at the ready ( at this point im a backup). i prefer running a good story and i think i should try some low tier stuff to begin.

so i ran a game at a local event last nite with a full table of 1st and 2nd levels and then 1 5th level. this was my first pfs gm experience and im wondering if i should have gone high tier because the 5th lvl sorcere just annihilated everything. and what sort of wiggle room is acceptable for scaling stuff.i didnt want to ad lib anything cuz as i said i am new.

i agree i should have let her roll. pointless? yes. manipulative? yes. snickering to myself as she searches for modifiers? oh,yes.

To the first, definitely. It's rabid. By definition, it's Hostile. Even if she had Wild Empathy, I wouldn't give her odds on being able to influence or communicate with it meaningfully, since it's entire thought process is basically 'kill kill kill'.

To the second, no, but you need to hash things out with the player and explain your situation, and be prepared to cut her loose if she's going to continue to be such a brat.

politics aint my bag, man

live and let waste their saturday nite, thats my motto

its just a thematic gripe really. almost at 10 posts!

the threads gone in a different direction but just want to agree with the sentiments about people like me complaining about new content. pfs is not a homegame, i rescind my complaint. guess ill start working on some new builds. did i spell rescind right?

dont get the bronies fired up

i guess i shouldnt whine too much. pfs has been a great way to meet other players and geek out casually every now and then. i spose it wouldnt make much sense for them to only include material thats not universally popular. i understand paizo trying to break the mold a bit and keep it fresh but cmon, cybernetic arms? srsly?

this tech stuff is a fine marketing ploy, and thats fine. im sure it will be interesting for a few runs, but if im going to have it forced down my throat all season, well... okay im not going to stop playing, but it is going to get a bit tiresome. you got tech in my fantasy. if i want tech ill play something else where it makes some sense. anybody else feel his way?

You have two choices.

You can take the improved shield bash which preserves your shield bonus.

OR you can take two weapon defense.

Two weapon defense grants a shield bonus which overlaps, but does not stack any shield bonus you preserve from your shield.

So if you're going to be a sword and shield fighter, there is no point to taking the two weapon defense feat.

i dual wield throwing axes but occasionally i like to throw one and then close and bust out the shield. just cuz its just dope lookin as all heck. so this way way i can still use full attack for two attacks with the shield and at least not lose out my ac too bad.

if i use my shield as off hand weapon in full attack with two weapon fighting AND two weapon defense feats, do i still lose the ac from shield for next round. is a shield considered an off hand weapon for twd, granting me the ac shield bonus? think this is going to be mostly gm discretion but im wondering if this has been clarified officially.
