Simple question about Fire Snake - do the squares need to share edges or can they just share a common corner?

So your witch encounters a higher level witch. Can your familiar learn a spell (from the other witch's familiar) that your witch is incapable of casting (yet)?

Let's say that there is a good witch and an evil clone of that witch...do they count as the same witch or different witches for the purpose of determining if people can be affected by a hex multiple times in a 24 hour period?

So, we know what happens when a spellcaster loses their familiar.

What happens if a familiar survives the death of their spellcaster?

Presumably, they would lose the special abilities linked to spellcaster level (spell resistance, speak with master, etc) but do they retain any of the other features?

Witch familiars lose their accumulated spells in 24 hours, but the book(s) are silent on the other classes familiars and features.

Does a raven familiar retain the ability to speak one language? Does any familiar retain the classification as a magical beast?

Does a former familiar of a powerful spellcaster retain any sort of magical aura? Any knowledge of its previous master?

Would a former familiar of a powerful spellcaster be more or less likely to become a familiar to a new, up and coming spellcaster?

So - it says under the description of many Witch Hexes that the target cannot be targeted by that Hex for 24 hours.

The question is, does that mean the target cannot be affected by that Hex used by that witch or any witch for the next 24 hours?

Secondary question - if using a hex on a person makes that person an invalid target for that hex (cast by another witch) for 24 hours, is this status known by other witches, or do they have to use that hex on that person to find this fact out?

Alternately, if a witch casts a hex on a person, then later that day, that person uses Alter Self or just disguises themselves, will the witch know that using that hex on that person cannot work?

Is there any reason the racial mods for Halfling NPCs don't match the racial mods for Halfling PCs? (p453)

So, if a witch takes the Flight hex, the following applies:

The witch grows lighter as she gains power, eventually gaining the ability to fly.

So - how much does a witch with the flight hex weigh?

At 1st level? (feather fall at will and +4 swim check)

At 3rd level? (levitate once/day)

At 5th level? (fly level minutes/day)

Beyond?

So the spell Create Food and Water creates enough grub to feed 3 humans or a horse per level.

Just wondering - what if a creature that is larger than M casts this spell? Does a Giant cleric create enough food to feed 3 giants per level?

Consider: a halfling is size Small. They're going to average about 3 feet tall, which is conveniently half the size of a 6 foot human.

If you halve the height of a human, then proportionally, you're going to reduce the weight by a factor of 8. So, a 160 pound human being converted to a halfling would weigh about 20 pounds. A 120 pound human female would convert into a 15 pound halfling female by that conversion rate.

There are plenty of domestic cats that weigh 15-20 pounds. Heck there are breeds where adult males AVERAGE 20 pounds without being overweight. (Typically Ragdoll, Maine Coons and the like)

Given that, why can't housecats be Small instead of Tiny?

Given that a housecat does 1d2-4 or 1d3-4 damage in combat and that all 0 or negative damage hits are converted to one point of nonlethal damage, what happens if a housecat confirms a critical hit?
