Never done it before but my item has been submitted.

I don't know about anyone else but I was introduced to Fluxx by ephealy when both I an Lilith were at Paizo Con and I fell in love with the game.

I currently have the Zombie and the regular version of Fluxx. I see that Paizo has more of them including the blank....may have to get those. :)

I can honestly say that I am not a fan of the skill combinations....the one that quickly comes to mind is this whole perception thing. Ok so Spot and Listen could be combined into a percption roll since they are passive acts however searching is an active attempt to find something...One can accidently overhear something but when you attempt to listen in your are activly doing something so it is best that there be two 'Perception Rolls'
an Active and a Passive.

Also the comment about Investigate being irrelevant is something I hnestly believe is an erronous statement.

As we go through our day we sometimes come to a realization that there are those around us who are important enough to us that their presence in our lives brightens and brings joy to our sometimes joyless lives.

Now I am not sure about most of you but I sometimes forget to mention this to them; I say that 'I tell them they are my friends or loved ones all the time therefor they should know.' Well guess what? They are not mind readers...So this thread will allow us to mention those we know....some of which actually read these boards and serve as a reminder that we should appreciate them more.

First Up: (Liz Courts) Lilith

I realize that most of you know this wonderful woman from her time here on the boards or got the wonderous opportunity to meet her in person at GenCon 2007 but there is so much more to this dynamic woman that needs to be recognized:

We met more then a decade ago and became friends; through the course of our knowing eachother we both have had hard experiences which would have knocked most people flat on their asses but not Lilith...She has recovered from those in no small part to her tenacious and twisted sense of humor and direction. These qualitites are quiet infectious with no cure in sight. (not that I would want one mind you) She likes to look on the bright side of things no matter how she feels inside. Oh do not get me wrong. If you step too hard on her toes she will not hesitate to let you know about it....Oddly enough though it takes alot to get her to say you are no longer her friend and oddly enough I have never heard her say that about anyone. Anyone who has been on the recieving end of one of her Random Glompings knows the joy that can bring to an already bad day.....and if you don't...Ask some of the people on the boards or ask my co-workers....Or....Be her friend. She is smart; funny; and talented.

We have been a couple for a decade next July 4th and that is the day we will be a wedded couple. Now as there is in any couple there is always strife. Two people living together under one roof for long periods of time tend to get on each others nerves. Such is the case with the two of us...There are things that we both do that drives the other person into a frothing rage that would make a Beholder proud and a Berserker run in fear. However; and this is big However. Without her in my life on even one of those bad days I would be crankier then ever and one unhappy person.

Now I will Sing some of her Rated PG Praises:

1. She makes one excellent cup of coffee.
2. Her sense of humor even at it's most twisted forces me to laugh even when I do not realize I need to.
3. Her sense of loyalty is unmatched anywhere by anyone I know.
4. Her compassion for people she cares deeply about is unrivaled.
5. Her tolernce toward my idiosyncracies.
6. Her tolerance and understnding in general.
7. She loves me no matter what. (I Hope Anyway :) )
8. Her tolerance of my sometimes bad cooking.
9. Her wonderful Sheperds Pie!!!
10. Her thoroughly pleasent Sausage and Apple Stuffing
11. Her delectable Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Pie.
12. Her devious GMing which has left me sweating profusly after a gaming session.
13. Her incredible wit and sense of timing.
14. Her smile.
15. The fact that I am her 'Squishy' and not just her boyfriend :)
16. Her incredible intellect and talent. (Her doodles blow most peoples extensive art work away)
17...wait....oops if I put down a 17 then it will no longer PG!!!!

There are three points of evidence which exemplify all the joys of liz better then I could ever mention.

1. When we were first getting together I was worried that I would not meet her expectations...Her reply: "I will love you no matter what and will accept you both good and bad." She has never once given me reason to doubt her statement.

2. When my mom died some years ago liz stuck by me through it all. Arguably the toughest time of my life.

3. I have recently gotten in touch with family on the east coast who I have never met...That's right...Never met!!! Liz knows I want to meet them and she OFFERED to pay for the trip!!! I will say this again as it is important...She offered to pay for the trip. Now regardless of the surrounding issues that have arisen concerning this and despite the fact that I would be expected to pay her back for this she has offered to pay for the trip. No matter how any of the surrounding issues turn out the offer was exceptionally appreciated and will never be forgotten. How many people we all know would do something like that??? In my life...Only one!!!

In Conclusion I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate the Presence of Lilith in my life no matter what happens and would find myself wholly and completely lacking if she were not.

Up until today I would have said that the best film I have ever seen was Exorcist the Beginning. It is the classic fallen hero story about a man who is forced by his convictions to stand up in the face of evil. However I have to say that the excellently complex yet simple story of a man named Edward R. Murrow who stood up to illuminate the abuses of the Communist witch hunts led by a 'Junior Senator from Wisconsin'
The thing that makes this story so powerful is the one telling fact that it did happen. It is a story about a dark time in our history and one of the men who stood up to it.
I strongly reccomend this film to anyone who wants to see a very well told story.
