Just wanted to pop in here and thank GM Tarondor for stepping up to keep this game going. I am going to work with him to get the RPGChronicles table transferred over and go ahead and report the game so you can all get that sweet, sweet AcP multiplier.

That’s A Wrap!

174 games were registered, 106 GMs ran the games, and hundreds of players joined them. What a great turnout!

Once the last few games get reported, we will be mailing out 50 randomly drawn prize vouchers, so make your offerings to the gods of chance, and may fortune be on your side. Also, at the same time we will be sending out those PF1 boons to the GMs and lucky players.

Last Days!
Okay GMs, we are entering the last few days for Gameday XIV. Most of you have already wrapped up your games and reported by now (great job, by the way), but we still have about 15 games still going. Please wrap these up as soon as possible so your players can get ready for the next adventure.

Even if it looks like you won’t finish the gameplay byDecember 3 we are asking you to go ahead and report your games] by the deadline so that we can finish up the admin stuff and close out the convention before the holidays. The remaining undead fall to dust and the few surviving Dispatch agents drop their weapons in surrender as the Society’s victory is complete. Zarta Dralneen and Viore Ciobanu immediately busy themselves with recovering the somewhat unstable aiudara that was constructed here, while Eando Kline walks amongst the agents, giving reaffirming pats on the back and handshakes.

“Exceptional job, everyone. While this might not be the typical mission we undertake for the Pathfinder Society, you still handled it with grace. You should all be proud of yourselves today for what you’ve accomplished.”

Nearby, Red Mantis Assassin Giovana saunters through the opposing forces’ remains, sucking on a piece of alchemical candy and once again cleaning blood from her iconic sawtooth sabers. She pulls the sweet treat past her lips and gives Eando an almost sultry look while tossing him the still-bloody cloth. “You know, the Pathfinders aren’t half-bad in a fight. Maybe we’ll work together again in the future. Perhaps in... closer quarters?”

Eando’s face turns a shade of crimson for a moment as he catches the bloody rag. He then gives Giovana a knowing little smile through his beard as he uses the cloth to clean his own sword, before sending the Pathfinders back home.

I’d like to extend a giant thank you to all the GMs that ran this year’s Special, and all the players that came out to vanquish the dastardly Aspis Consortium. I hope everyone had fun and will make running and playing in our mutli-table specials a regular tradition. Thank you all!

Extension - Only 2 weeks left!

GMs and Players, due to the week-long downtime of the forums while the new paizo store was being set up, we have decided to extend the deadline for Gameday XIV reporting until Dec 3. Please make sure all your games are reported by then.

GMs, with only 2 weeks left in Gameday XIV play, you should be winding down your tables (assuming you aren’t already finished) and getting them ready for reporting by our HQ crew. Hopefully you are in a good place to finish by the Dec 3 end date, but if not, please go ahead and mark your tables Ready for Reporting by Dec 3 so we can wrap up the convention. Then, finish your games as soon as you can. If you need assistance in pushing your game to the finish, please contact your PBP lodge Venture Officers.

One month to go!
GMs, we have a month left in Gameday XIV play, which should be plenty of time to wrap up those adventures. Hopefully you are in a good place to finish by the Nov 26 end date. Some of you have asked about starting new games between now and Nov 26. The general rule is as long as you can reasonably finish by the end date, go for it. Quests, bounties, and other short-form adventures are good candidates here. We will probably stop accepting new games at the 3-week mark just to make sure games finish on time and players aren’t overly rushed into having bad experiences.

“In order to fulfill our obligations to the Red Mantis, we need to track down those leaders and take them out,” Eando says, while looking over to Giovana, who just grins back at him while cleaning her twin sawtooth sabers. “You’ll be heading into the remaining buildings and underground passages, so look out for one another—”

Kline is cut off as Viore finishes consulting with the hostages and barges forward. “I’ve figured out what they’re doing, and we have to hurry! One of the Dispatch leaders was recently in Kyonin, you see and stole pieces of several aiudara—teleportation gates. Combined with what we’ve learned today, I think they’re trying to build their own version of an aiudara here and might use it if we don’t stop them first!”

Zarta nods assertively. “That’s it, then. Get moving, Pathfinders. Let’s track the rest of the Dispatch down before they get away!”

I would like to step in here and point out that the implication that a GM would be spiteful and disrespectful of a player because of a set of rulings in another game could (and will be) considered as harassment and contrary to the Community Code of Conduct. It will not be tolerated.

I would encourage everyone to take a breath, move on, and accept that sometimes there will be miscommunications and contentious rulings at a table, especially in the PBP environment. I encourage all parties to "be the better person" and let it go. Nothing is to be gained by retaliatory "fairness", and in fact Organized Play privileges can be lost by flagrantly going against the Community Code of Conduct, up to and including being banned from Org Play.

If this encounter has already been resolved, then let that be all there is to it. If there is still more to come within this encounter, let it be handled with grace and flexibility.
