I would just like a Map with out all the specials on it that I can do the blow up work on. Takes alot of work to strip all the secret stuff off the maps and enlarge. The enlarging is easy. And for the most part the map quality stays pretty high.

Ahhh yes, I see that... I can't find a way to give these people money... You'd think they would make that a bit easier... "You have not purchased tickets" with no explanation an no link to do so is a bad design

Send a gripe via the Contacts link at the top of the page, they do actually want to here from folks about the design changes.

Hey there!

We've sent the schedule to the Dragon*Con staff a bit ago, but they're still working on entering it into their system. I sadly don't have a good estimate on when it will be entered.

That being said, there will be plenty of options for you to choose from for gaming. There are about 15-20 tables being run for every single slot, representing all the Tiers.

P.S. We still need some more GMs! If you want to volunteer to come and/or would like a free Dragon*Con badge as well as some free gaming tickets, let me know at kyle.pratt@georgiapfs.org.

Kyle, if I was not booked up running working Techops, I would have taken a table.

Surprised no one mentioned it, but 1st Ed. Bards were the most OP things around.

Weapon damage vs armor type. And don't forget weapon speed!

Illusionist was a base class and totally different from wizards.

To the first, lord yes. I miss weapon speed, it was such a great equalizer between low and high damage weapons.

The thing I miss most though is the new init. every round. Made the fighting more dramatic and spells with duration simpler.

I am wondering what some folks in this thread are doing to generate the horror stories that must sit behind this massive need for tons of CLW. The only time I see parties need this kind of healing, even with non-optimized PCs, is when party tactics have gone so far south there isn't a party.

Specifically on the issue of "requiring" a WCLW just to sit the table, I have to say WTF? It is a party and regardless of what you hit the table with, the party should have done a gear check as a whole and made sure everyone knew the planned jobs of each member before even leaving the VC's office. This includes being sure the party is outfitted to survive atleast 3 fights before stopping.

All good there then. Now based on page 24 of the PFS Guide is this correct for going from a +1 item to +2 item as you have already paid for the masterwork and first bonus as you only pay the difference:

+1 to +2 would be 6000gp and only need 22 Fame?

No. The fame requirement is always based on the final price of the item. Even if you upgrade a +1 to a +2 item and only pay 6000gp, you need to have enough fame to pay for the +2 item outright.

Thanks all, I feel ready to handle the rash of item creation that will occur next week after everyone has finished the last part of Thornkeep and all the players have too much gold. :)

Correct.

Example 2:

+1 defender/+0 would be 8300gp fame 27
+1 defender/+1 shocking would be 16,600 (assuming above is correct)

Correct on both accounts, with the added note that the +1 defender/ +1 shocking staff would still only require 27 fame.

Could either of these be upgrade to say Staff of the Master or could any of these enhancements be add to a Staff of the Master? I am guessing no as it is a named item.
Your guess would be correct.

The more I am understanding about enchanting double weapons, the weird staves become. If you upgrade it as a "magic item" rather than a "magic weapon" you only end up enchanting half the weapon. So all the staves in the various books then could in theory be upgrade on the other half to be a different "Staff of X". Or be enchanted as the same staff on the other half for double the charges?

I know this a bit "power gamer" but I am trying to figure out how broken this can get and be ready to deal with it my power gamers start trying it as our local PFS group is now finally getting the average levels up to 7+ and will start trying things like this.

Staff up grades
So example 1:
+1/0 would be 2300gp fame 0
+1/+1 would be 4600 fame 0 instead of 4300gp as you have to master work both ends, correct?

Example 2:
+1 defender/+0 would be 8300gp fame 27
+1 defender/+1 shocking would be 16,600 (assuming above is correct)

Could either of these be upgrade to say Staff of the Master or could any of these enhancements be add to a Staff of the Master? I am guessing no as it is a named item.

barnowl, per the normal pathfinder rules, double weapons are treated as two separate weapons for upgrading purposes. They can even be made out of different materials.

You could have a double sword with one end cold-iron, +1 Shocking and the other end adamantine +2 keen. Of course the special materials have to be included from the start, you cannot upgrade to them.

So the short answer would be: "yes". :)

So it can get a bit expensive to enchant a staff. Still I can do a nice Nethys inspired staff for my cleric of Nethys.

On thing I did not see on that list that is somewhat confusing is upgrading double weapons. Can you upgrade only half: +2/+0, can you give each half a different power upgrade: Shocking one side, storing on the other? Or does it have to all be upgrade the same?

Main issue you are going to have is that Paizo PDFs are downloaded as zip files. So you will need both something to unzip the file and something to read them with. I have not looked for an unzipper for either device yet, but would guess youare more likely to find one on the nexus as it runs a purer Android than the Kindle.
