Appearance:(see pic) Very muscular having lt. green skin with gray tones and reddish eyes. His hair is reddish brown, long, and tied behind his head in a pony tail. His face has strong human features with the typical orc tusks protruding from his lower jaw. He wears a chain shirt and carries a large spiked shield, and is bristling with weapons.

Background:
In the shadow of the World’s Edge Mountains, Bartek was born to a human woman who loved him despite the circumstances surrounding him being brought into the world. Bartek remembers little about his childhood except being raised in a hostile environment, hated and even feared because of his half-orc blood. His mother protected him best she could, but he was bullied and abused by other children in his home village…until he grew up. He grew quickly and grew strong, and before he reached the adolescent years, Bartek could hold his own in a fight and often finished many before they began just by his presence alone.
He and his mother moved to the city of Maheto, and there he began to put his strength and size to use. His mother worked hard to keep them fed and clothed, and she worked constantly to get Bartek apprenticed to one of the many metalworkers who shaped the ore coming from the mines in the mountains. Finally, her hard work paid off, and an elderly, one-armed dwarven blacksmith agreed to take Bartek on as an apprentice.
Bartek was a slow learner, and earned many a strap from his master. But the blacksmith grew to care for Bartek and the strappings became fewer and fewer as Bartek began to learn and actually take pride in his work.
For ten years, the young half-orc worked under the tutelage of Blazar One-Arm, and grew to love him like the father he had never known. Blazar taught him much more than working ore > he taught Bartek how to fight with weapons, especially the shield. As Bartek grew older, he began to wonder what was beyond the borders of Maheto, and his master often regaled him with stories of faraway lands, hidden treasures, ancient evils, and fearsome monsters.
After many long talks with his mother, and more than a few tearful hugs, Bartek decided to go in search of adventure. He promised to come home when he could, and send back any treasure he could spare. He had often dreamed about the shifting sands of Osirion and decided he would begin his adventure there.
