ok so i'm a little lost and honestly it's probably right in front of my face, but how do bonus spell slots work EXACTLY. I'm making a wizard and i have a ridiculous starting INT (27). on the chart for bonus spells it states that i get slots up to 8th level spells but i'm unsure as to if that means i can cast an 8th level spell at 1st level or it's just there for no particular reason (maybe metamagic?)

can anyone help?

I'm having a bit of trouble. When the beginner box was up on humble bundle i bought it. the problem i'm having now is i never had it shipped (and i know about the back orders, that's kind of why i didn't have it shipped). However, i didn't want to delay any longer out of fear of there being a deadline on having it shipped. now i don't know how to do it. I can only download the pdf and have no clue how to actually get the physical copy shipped. any help?
