I've just built a Rogue 2 / Zen Archer Monk 3 at 5th level. Sneaky trap finding and disabling but with combat skills too. I've taken the Trap Spotter Rogue talent and with a high Wisdom Perception is good. It's fun to play.

Eh, most the Duelist abilities require you to be wielding a light or one handed piercing weapon which the Scimitar is not or has your GM house ruled that?
I have searched for this but cannot find an answer. If I create a Headband of Vast Intellect do the skills it grants have to be ones already possessed by me as creator. Logic would suggest yes but I can't find anything in the rules to confirm.
Appologies if this has been asked before, I did a search but couldn't find it. If an AA has levels in Oracle can he imbue his arrows with Oracle spells or is it only spells from his Arcane class? Thanks
One GM I know used the Int stat as an idicator of thinking time, if your character had high Int you got more time to make decisions (simulating quick thinking) if it was low you got less (slow thinking) as a system I thought it worked well.
Since all characters get a feat at 9th there is nothing to stop a Kensai spending it on Extra Arcana and taking a 9th level Arcana.
I'm playing a Kensai with a 2 level Monk (Zen Archer) dip, and the Magical Knack trait. He's an Elf but I wanted to use a Katana rather than a scimitar so he's not totally optimised but great fun to play.
I've just started a new campaign at 5th in which I have gone for a Magus (Kensai) 3 Monk (Zen Archer) 2. I wanted the Japanese mystic warrior feel so his weapons are a Katana & Composite Longbow. It's very MAD but, providing you have the stats, good fun, you can't wear amour but you have Monk AC plus Cany Defense when wielding the Katana, Saves are good and it gives you access to a lot of basic feats including Wpn Focus for both weapons, Dodge and Precise Shot as class benefits freeing up your odd level feats for more exciting things like Extra Magus Arcana. |
