I'm a little late to this topic, but I wanted to share the solution I have found.

I found these small parts organizers at a local big-box style hardware store, they are made by Stanley, and contain multiple little boxes that drop into a storage case.

They can be found at Home Depot as well, if you search their site for "Stanley-10-Compartment-Deep-Pro-Small-Parts-Organizer-014710R" or "Stanley-25-Compartment-Shallow-Pro-Small-Parts-Organizer-014725R", you can see what I'm talking about.

I have mine arranged by size and type, and grouped within the small boxes. I will eventually have labels on the underside of the lid.

When I need a specific pawn, I can pull the box that it's in and I only have to flip through 10-15 pawns to find the one I'm looking for. I have pretty much all of the Bestiary collections except for the first one, and 3 of the AP collections...and they all fit into 3 of these cases.

Just thought I would share my solution, as it has worked for me quite well.

Well, my parties experience has already been detailed in another post...the one with Nail discussing the CR of Kerzit.

Suffice it to say, it was tough...very tough. I posted a few hints that may prove useful...which I can describe again briefly.

1. Force Cage and Dimensional Anchor...make sure to have them both. Force Cage would have worked great, if I could have kept him from teleporting out.

2. Banishment and Assay Resistance...again, make sure to have them both. I didn't make the check, so my Banishment fizzled.

All I can say is "Be Prepared"...it is possible.

Zeph, here...another of the "unfortunate" PC's to go up against Kerzit in Nail's running of 'the Fane'.

I would like to state that I made it out of the encounter without dying ( BTW, I'm the Wizard ), but I can't. One unfortunate hit from Kerzit took me out on the CON damage alone.

I did learn some new things, though during this round...

1. If you're going to memorize Force Cage, you should probably memorize Dimensional Anchor.

2. If you're going to memorize Banishment, you should probably memorize Assay Resistance.

These two oversights cost me my life ( but only once )...so, that's something for me to remember next time.

One last thing to mention, just to underscore how LUCKY we got...3 party members are dead, the only 3 left are the Wizard, the Psion, and the Rogue...the Psion and myself have decided to teleport out, because we are running out of spells and PP's, so we are trying to gather the bodies. Kerzit makes a lunge for the Psion before he can teleport out - it looks like it might be curtains for the Psion...but Kerzit has to pass by the Rogue, and suck up an AoO...which was enough to drop him at the Psion's feet! He was that low! And we were prepping to leave!

All in all, a VERY TOUGH battle, and quite expensive. After reading through this thread, I do agree that this EL is just way too high for what the adventure says is an appropriate party level. I suppose it's our "if it's evil, we must destroy it at all costs" mentality. I hate to think what's coming up on the next level! I'll be sure to post once we get through it ( assuming we DO get through it )!

Try taking it to Kinko's and get it laminated. I did that with all my maps so far, then, the life span of your map is increased, they become safely transportable, and you can just clip them to sheets of faom core to hang up on the wall. Just something to think about, if you're on a budget.

I've never used Kinko's ( I know, I'll crawl back into my hole )...do most of their locations have the ability to do something that large?

The easiest way is to download the demo for Dunjinni, and after you install it you will have a "user" folder...in there you will find the aforementioned .jpg files of most of the symbols you are looking for. Move the ones you want somewhere else, and uninstall Dunjinni if you don't want to try it out.
