Female Half-Orc Magus 2
"Lovely. A great ol' lovely chokepoint. A bottleneck. And here I thought my day couldn't get any better." The half-orc's words spilled sardonically from a mouth lazily hanging open, but the well-worn, crooked battleaxe held in a vise grip by her left hand belied the calm humor with which she spoke. Readying an action to smack anything nasty-looking (a monster or similar) that comes out of the crypt once we get the door open.

Shopping was good, if not completely necessary. Being used to relying on herself and a few pieces of equipment she never parted from, Zeljka never really took shopping seriously unless it was directly related to survivability in the field. To that end, the Chop Wizard spent most of the day's time simply getting good maintenance done on her equipment, and the rest of her time ferreting out new little bits of magic. She probably passed Declan looking for scrolls, but both seemed driven more to business than chatter. After all, they'd be seeing each other nigh-constantly anyway.

The "Chop Wizard" looks up from the chapbook she was engrossed in for perhaps the first time in who knows how long, seemingly stunned at her surroundings. "Um...what in the Hells are you all arguing about? Can't you see you're blocking a road? Gorum's shiny iron balls, the nerve of some people!"
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19 If there's room for me to shoulder back there, Imma smack the dryad with my axe. If not...probably spend the round trying to shoulder back there, or shouting at the other two to draw her out of the cave. Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 Damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
"Ugh, Necromancy." Zeljka stepped lightly between bodies where she could, examining the site from as many angles as possible and noting details where they might be pertinent while Declan rested. Knowledge: Arcana: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 Spellcraft 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 "Huh...pretty sure I understand the gist of this ritual, and that gap isn't a great thing, but...hey, Declan, does this look like Mazulus's fourth circle to you?" don't mind me, just making up fluffy details for no reason...
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
After thanking Declan for the spell trade, Zeljka wandered off to grab some healing potions and make sure the townsfolk weren't going crazy from stress and grief, though her "bedside manner" would be a bit lacking by anyone's scale. Mostly it consisted of "You not dead yet? You're alright!" and similarly tacky phrases. After that didn't go over so well, she decided to find the Hellknights and see if they were good too. Not a very common sight where she was from, but Korvosa still held on to some aspects of their heritage. Townspeople are not Zeljka's strong suit, as one can see. Hopefully she got those potions before getting all awkward. I was thinking three of them?
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Zeljka gains +1 BAB this level (yay) +5 skill points, spent on the skills I already had trained. Fort and Will saves up by 1 point The Spellstrike ability (yay!) One more spell per day of levels 0 and 1, two more spells in the book (and did Declan and Zeljka ever do that trade they were planning?) aaaannnndddd 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 shucks, purely average HP. ah well, that's how the cookie bounces.
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Totally re-attempting re-murder of that zombie in front of me! Attack at s-24! Cursing her incredible run of bad luck today, the orcish woman centered her stance and swung again...and again...and again until a veritable wall of whistling steel was erected in front of her. Attack! 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Having lost two of her best spells and been injured at least once already, the she-Magus was starting to feel the first burn of combat fatigue, though extensive training kept the full effects at bay adrenaline suffused her body. Using that adrenaline, Zeljka takes a big lunging double step forward, almost a small hop really, and brings her axe down in a torse cleaving stroke to finish off the enemy the Corporal had already wounded. Attack @M4 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 Damage 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Zeljka Gakki was getting angry. Even if she wasn't a berserker like so many other orc-blooded kin were, that was a dangerous thing. Mostly because she had started berating herself for her continued fumbles in battle today. "Stupid, stupid, stupid! You KNOW how to work the magic, and the axe, and at the same time. You've done it before plenty of times, now do it again! GRAH!" All the while Crooked Nikk flashed out and around, held securely in two hands now, to fend of the undeath so desirous of the Crimson Kings' eternal company. Attack @ K5, finally remembered to add the Bless lol 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 Damage roll, wielding in two hands now 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Sighing in relief at the presence of reinforcements and/or distractions, Zeljka spins her battleaxe lazily with one hand, its head beginning to trail the same violet flames as before. Her flourish ended, the half-orc woman continues to harry pursuers. Swift Action: Weapon Enhancement, Arcane Pool down to 1 point. Attack Roll 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
GAH! Natural 1! nuuuuuu!
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Assuming that the thing next to me is an enemy. Laptop I'm borrowing won't render the map sharply, so it's hard to see things lol. Zeljka stops her retreat long enough to turn about, clasp both hands to her battleaxe, the carved words in its head traveling along a path to blood...if the zombies had any, that is. Attack Roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Zeljka's cursing becomes gasps for breath and cries of pain as she stumbles past Hangman and Bear, groping her waist pouch for a potion vial she knew was there somewhere. Relief emanates from her face as she find the vial, flick the stopper with a thumb and downs it quickly. OK. 5-foot adjustment diagonally into I believe H-9, Cure Light Wounds potion downed. Unless I can't grab the potion and stumble at the same time lol. I never remember whether I can or not.
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Zeljka curses at a roar-like volume, a single guttural Orcish word to express her frustration and pain. The curse turns into a stream of words and symbols of arcane power as Zeljka draws upon it to shield her body from further blows, all the while hacking at the foe that injured her with relentless zeal. Attempting Spell Combat. -2 to attack rolls, and I can cast a spell (Shield in this case) before or after the attack. Casting defensively, so I need that Concentration check to succeed! I get +2 from Focused Mind and +4 from Combat Casting, for a total +7 on my caster level check! Attack Roll 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Concentration check 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 Unfortunately for herself and possibly the others around her, the Chop Wizard manages to lose her spell as well as fail to pierce her enemies' defenses. The stream of arcane words smoothed back into curses so easily one might wonder if she hadn't been making magic with profanity the whole time. Actually, I forgot to add my INT modifier to the Concentration check as well, for a +9 total bonus, but I still wouldn't have hit the 17 I needed to pull that off with a roll of 3
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
With a snarl, Zeljka launches herself into the rhythm of battle, her unsheathed axe coming down with a great overhead cleave on the enemy flanking the Hangman. Attack Roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Pretty sure my arcane bond thing wore off by now, so back to regular numbers.
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
The Hangman's direct approach got a grin and a small, but very un-lady-like snort from Zeljka. "Hah! The direct route wins again! We should just tell them we're the mercs they hired to sort out the original problem. Maybe then we can get to work without crossbows following us."
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Zeljka nodded assent to her orders and gathered up her things again, regrouping everything she'd doffed hastily to enter battle. She does not resheath her battleaxe, the letters carved into its head now filled with semi-congealed blood from the troop's scrape with undead. Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12 Scanning the treeline warily, the half-orc falls in with the others. To her credit, she only shuddered once.
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Zeljka maintains her composure like a professional, doesn't even glance at the downed dogs around Talbot's last position, but immediately looks to where she needs to place her axe next. Rushing toward the largest remaining pack, she grips her axe with both hands, ready to swing mightily on contact with the enemy. If I have enough space for it, I'm gonna do a charge attack. I believe the next pack is still around Kuroneko unless they've disperse or otherwise moved? Wielding weapon with both hands so I'm adding an extra point of damage (3/2=1.5 rounded down), correct? Charge Attack! 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
If charging isn't possible, we can either knock off two points from my attack roll result, or I can post another set of rolls.
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
Here's the AoO roll for the dogs and such Attack of Opportunity! 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Taking precious moments to use her enemies' haste to her advantage, Zeljka's missed swing reverses its momentum and cuts back the other way, and again after that. Next round after that...whenever it happens: Move if necessary to stay engaged, MOAR AXE-ING! Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Female Half-Orc Magus 2
For next round I'll use an Arcane Pool point to make my battleaxe Crooked Nikk +1. That's a Swift Action. Then I'll move to support Talbot in melee and begin the attacking-ness. Zeljka snarls for a moment before clamping down on the guttural noise, focusing all her concentration into her weapon, which after a moment or two is limned with a flame-like violet light. Her weapon thus enhanced, the "Chop Wizard" roared a challenge to the hostiles swarming toward Talbot and rushed immediately to his aid! Crooked Nikk (Battleaxe +1):
BLARGH, nat 1!
